    摘要: A heating system for a vehicle is provided which does not require a large boarding space in an engine room very much, which can be manufactured at a reduced cost, and which can fully heat a passenger compartment of a vehicle when an engine is started. For instance, in the vehicle heating system, a water pump (WP) and a viscous heater (VH) is incorporated into an installation housing (1), a plate (2) and a cover (3) which are bonded to a cylinder block of an engine. The water pump (WP) and the viscous heater (VH) are driven by a drive shaft (11) which is shared by them. Moreover, the viscous heater (VH) includes an auxiliary water jacket (WJ.sub.2). The auxiliary water jacket (WJ.sub.2) is communicated with a main water jacket (WJ.sub.1) of the engine by way of a pump chamber (4) of the water pump (WP), and is further communicated with a heater core for heating a passenger compartment of a vehicle.

    摘要: A lubricating mechanism for a piston type compressor in a refrigeration system. A cam plate is mounted on a drive shaft for integral rotation therewith in a crank chamber, which is defined in a casing. Pistons are coupled to the cam plate and reciprocate in cylinder bores extending parallel to the drive shaft. Each piston compresses refrigerant gas containing lubricating oil mist and discharges the compressed refrigerant gas from the compressor during rotation of the cam plate. The refrigerant gas is supplied into the crank chamber and is circulated in the casing. The lubricating oil is supplied to various moving parts from a location near the drive shaft. An oil pan is provided outside and to the side of the casing for collecting lubricating oil. A recovering passage connects the oil pan with the crank chamber to convey the lubricating oil from the crank chamber to the oil pan for collection. A guide passage guides the lubricating oil collected in the oil pan to the location near the drive shaft using gravitational force. By mounting the oil pan on the side of the casing, the oil pan collects relatively less liquefied refrigerant and more oil, and thus improves lubrication of the compressor.

The high pressure gas supply passageway is formed in the cylinder block, and the flow choke is provided in a discharge valve assembly including a valve plate, a discharge valve element, and a valve retainer.

The compressor has a cylinder head fastened to the rear end of a cylinder block assembly of the compressor with a valve plate interposed therebetween and having formed therein a suction chamber formed in a radially outer peripheral region thereof so as to surround a central discharge chamber. The compressor further includes a refrigerant gas intake passage extending along a straight line and radially through the axial center of the compressor and having at least two holes for providing direct communication between the gas intake passage and the suction chamber at positions that are radially spaced. The refrigerant gas intake passage may include a combination of at least two passage portions having different cross-sectional areas.

    摘要: A single-headed piston type swash-plate compressor has a cylinder block having cylinder bores in which a plurality of pistons are slidably received. A first housing is attached to a first end of the block to form a crank chamber therebetween, and a second housing is attached to a second end thereof to form an annular suction chamber and a central discharge chamber therebetween. The chambers are partitioned by an annular wall portion projected from an inner wall of the second housing such that the suction chamber surrounds the discharge chamber. A drive shaft rotatably is extended through the crank chamber, and a conversion mechanism is provided on the shaft for converting a rotating movement of the shaft into a reciprocating movement of each piston in the corresponding bore such that a suction stroke and a discharge stroke are alternately executed therein. During the suction stroke, a fluid is introduced from the suction chamber into the bore, and during the compression stroke, the introduced fluid is compressed and discharged from the bore into the discharge chamber. The cylinder block has a portion extended radially and outwardly from a side thereof, and the portion has a damping chamber formed therein. The discharge chamber has an elongated portion extended radially and outwardly therefrom, the elongated portion being in communication with the damping chamber through a small passage formed in the extended portion of the block.

The hinge mechanism includes a pin, which has a first and a second end portions. The first end portion of the pin is slidably inserted into the swash plate. A support arm protrudes from the lug plate, and further includes a bush. The bush rotatably supports the second end portion of the pin.
