摘要: The present invention provides an optical sensor at least some part of which is formed monolithically in an active matrix substrate of a display device. In order to detect ambient light with high accuracy by eliminating the influences of stray light and of property variations between photodetecting elements, the optical sensor includes a detection photodiode (11) and a reference photodiode (12) covered with a shielding film (15). The optical sensor further includes a differential amplifier (16) one input terminal of which is connected to the cathode of the detection photodiode (11) and the other input terminal is connected to the cathode of the reference photodiode (12), an integration capacitor (19) and a reset switch (22). The optical sensor further includes a comparator (21) and a low-pass filter (20) for making the electric potentials of the anodes of the reference photodiode (12) and detection photodiode (11) larger than the electric potential of the cathode of the reference photodiode (12) by the open-circuit voltage VOC.

摘要: Provided are a display device in which variation in output characteristics of the photodiode is suppressed, and a method for manufacturing the display device. The display device is provided with the active matrix substrate (2) and photodiode (6). First, on a substrate of glass (12), a silicon film (8) and an interlayer insulation film (15) for covering the silicon film (8) are formed in this order. Then, a metal film is formed, and metal lines (10, 11) traversing the silicon film (8) are formed by etching the metal film. Then, p-type impurity ions are implanted by using a mask that has an opening (24a) that exposes a portion that overlaps a region where a p-layer (9a) is to be formed, a part of the opening (24a) being formed with the metal line (10). Furthermore, n-type impurity ions are implanted by using a mask that has an opening (25b) that exposes a portion that overlaps a region where an n-layer (9c) is to be formed, a part of the opening (25a) being formed with the metal line (11).

摘要: An inverter is configured by double gate TFTs, and an inverter is configured by double gate TFTs. Top gate terminals of the TFTs that configure the inverter are connected to an input terminal DAT(+), and bottom gate terminals are connected to an output of the inverter and an output terminal OUT. Bottom gate terminals of the TFTs that configure the inverter are connected to an input terminal DAT(−), and bottom gate terminals are connected to an output of the inverter. With this, threshold voltages of the inverters are controlled so as to facilitate switching operations of the inverters, and whereby the comparator circuit operates at a high speed. It is possible to obtain a comparator circuit that is insusceptible to a variation in the threshold voltages of the transistors and fluctuation of a common mode voltage of an input signal and capable of operating at a high speed.

摘要: Each of even-numbered photodiodes 1 and 2 for constituting a diode of the present invention (i) has regions (regions 1a through 1c and regions 2a through 2c) whose sizes in a certain direction are identical to sizes of regions of a reference diode 5, and (ii) has a channel width equal to ½ of a channel width W of the reference diode 5. The regions 1a through 1c and the regions 2a through 2c are arranged so as to (i) extend parallel to the certain direction which is provided parallel to a channel length L of the reference diode 5, and so as to be (ii) line-symmetric or point-symmetric to each other as a whole. The photodiodes 1 and 2 are electrically connected to each other in series so as to carry out an equivalent operation to that of the reference diode 5. Employing of the photodiodes 1 and 2 provides a configuration of diodes each having an identical characteristic and occupying a reduced area on a substrate.

摘要: Rules, applied to deny authorization of likely fraudulent transactions, are derived from a modified Patient Rule Induction Method algorithm that uses a target variable and a data set of past transactions each associated with a plurality of input variables and a hyper-rectangle enclosing a multi-dimensional space defined by a representation of the input variable values as points within the multi-dimensional space. While a count of the points within the hyper-rectangle is greater than a minimum support parameter, a first plurality of points proximal to edges of the hyper-rectangle are removed, where each such removing maximizes a mean value of the target variable, and then, while the mean value remains maximized, a second plurality of points proximal to the edges is added, where each adding maximizes or maintains the mean value. The hyper-rectangle is bounded within a minimum bounding box that defines the rules.

摘要: The present invention provides a display device with an image capture function including optical sensors in its pixels, in particular, a display device which allows a reduction in the size of a substrate and in power consumption by reducing the area of a peripheral region not contributory to displaying. The display device includes: an active matrix substrate (100) including a plurality of gate lines (7), a plurality of source lines (9), and display switching elements arranged in correspondence with respective points of intersection of the plurality of gate lines and the plurality of source lines. The display device further includes: optical sensors (10) provided in a pixel region (1) of the active matrix substrate (100); and a plurality of sensor row lines (8) arranged in correspondence with the optical sensors (10). Supply of a voltage to the optical sensors (10) and reading of a luminance signal from the optical sensors are performed through the plurality of source lines (9) by a common column driver circuit that drives the display switching elements.
