    摘要： The novel substituted carboxylic acid anilides of the formula ##STR1## in which X represents oxygen or sulphur,R.sup.1 represents hydrogen, halogen, alkyl with 1 to 6 carbon atoms, trifluoromethyl, optionally substituted phenyl, alkoxy with 1 to 6 carbon atoms or alkylmercapto with 1 to 6 carbon atoms,R.sup.2 represents halogen or methyl,n represents 0, 1 or 2,R.sup.3 represents hydrogen, halogen, optionally substituted alkyl with 1 to 6 carbon atoms, optionally substituted aryl, optionally substituted aralkyl or the radicals --OR.sup.6 or --SO.sub.m --R.sup.6,whereinR.sup.6 represents optionally substituted alkyl with 1 to 6 carbon atoms or optionally substituted aryl andm represents 0, 1 or 2, andR.sup.4 and R.sup.5 independently of one another represent halogen or optionally substituted alkyl with 1 to 6 carbon atoms, orR.sup.4 and R.sup.5, together with the adjacent carbon atom, represent an optionally substituted, saturated or unsaturated carbocyclic ring with 3 to 8 ring carbon atoms,are very active herbicides.
