    摘要: A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery containing an alloy particle capable of absorbing and desorbing lithium in the negative electrode has a short cycle life and is insufficient in high-rate discharge characteristics, since the alloy particle is pulverized during charge/discharge cycles. In order to solve this problem, a negative electrode is employed, which comprises an alloy particle containing: at least two selected from the group consisting of metal elements and semimetal elements; oxygen; and nitrogen. It is preferred that the alloy particle have a phase A capable of electrochemically absorbing and desorbing lithium ion and a phase B having lithium ion conductivity or lithium ion permeability and that the phase B contain larger amounts of oxygen and nitrogen than the phase A.

    摘要: A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery including: a positive electrode; a negative electrode, and a non-aqueous electrolyte. The negative electrode includes a negative electrode active material that includes at least Si. The non-aqueous electrolyte includes lithium hexafluorophosphate as a main supporting electrolyte and has an acid content of not less than 50 ppm and not more than 200 ppm. The negative electrode has a potential of not less than 0.6 V and not more than 1.5 V relative to a Li electrode at an end-of-discharge voltage of the battery. The battery is prevented from suffering degradation of storage characteristics caused by the dissolution reaction of Si from the negative electrode during charging and the precipitation reaction of the dissolved Si.

    摘要: A negative electrode for a lithium ion secondary battery of the present invention includes a current collector and an active material layer carried on the current collector. The active material layer contains silicon and oxygen. In the thickness direction of the active material layer, an oxygen ratio of the active material is greater at the side of the active material layer in contact with the current collector than at the side of the active material layer not in contact with the current collector. The active material layer contains no binder. By using the negative electrode described above, it is possible to provide a high capacity lithium ion secondary battery having superior high rate charge/discharge characteristics and excellent cycle characteristics.

    摘要: A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery having both high capacity and long-life is provided by solving the problem of the large irreversible capacity of a negative electrode active material. The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery is produced by a method including the steps of: reacting lithium with a negative electrode active material by bringing a metal film that is composed mainly of lithium into contact with a surface of a negative electrode active material layer; and thereafter combining the negative electrode with a positive electrode to form an electrode assembly. The metal film composed mainly of lithium is preferably formed on a carrier that does not chemically react with lithium, and the metal film on the carrier is preferably brought into contact with the negative electrode active material layer while heating and applying a pressure thereto.

    摘要: A negative electrode for a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery, including: an active material layer capable of electrochemically absorbing and desorbing at least Li; and a current collector sheet that supports the active material layer thereon and that does not react with Li, wherein the active material layer includes a plurality of deposited films or sintered films supported on a surface of the current collector sheet, and each of the deposited films or sintered films is provided with at least one groove formed in a side surface thereof, the groove extending from a top surface side towards the current collector sheet side thereof. It is preferable that the plurality of deposited films or sintered films are arranged in a grid configuration, a staggered grid configuration or a honeycomb configuration on a surface of the current collector sheet. It is preferable that, in a discharged state, the plurality of deposited films or sintered films have an average height of not less than 1 μm and not more than 30 μm.

The negative electrode includes a collector and active material particles that are disposed on a surface of the collector. The active material particles include Si and at least one element R selected from the group consisting of Sn, In, Ga, Pb and Bi. Metallic bond including the element R is formed between the active material particles.
