    摘要: A remote signaling receiver system includes a receiver that operates in two different modes of demodulation to accommodate different types of signals from different types of transmitting devices. A first demodulator, preferably an ASK demodulator, is adapted to process signals from a signal transmitter that generates a first type of signal. A second demodulator, preferably one that is not sensitive to amplitude modulation such as a FSK demodulator, is adapted to process signals received from at least one other type of device, which provides a second type of signal. A system designed according to this invention is particularly useful as a remote keyless entry system for a vehicle where one or more sensors are provided on the vehicle to provide an indication of a chosen condition of one or more of the vehicle components.

    摘要: A system comprised of a one or more rapidly flashing thermal image beacons, a plurality of sensors, a control subsystem, input means, and a power source. Each beacon being comprised of a precision machined and polished parabolic or elliptical mirror. A resistive heating element is nominally positioned at the mirror focal point. The heating element is mounted on a carriage which can be moved backwards and forwards by a microprocessor-controlled mechanism. The resulting oscillatory action creates a rapidly changing coded flashing thermal image.

    摘要: Disclosed embodiments describe a volar plate generally for use treating distal volar fractures. The volar plate is designed in accordance with anatomical features and is generally Y-shaped, having a wider distal head portion that tapers to a narrower proximal body portion. A plurality of holes in the distal head of the volar plate allow for fixation means to fix the position of bone fragments with respect to the volar plate. The plurality of holes in the distal head basically form two substantially non-linear rows, with the distal row generally curving inward proximally and the proximal row generally curving outward distally such that the fixation means inserted through the holes generally converge. A central cavity may be located in the proximal body of the volar plate to promote bone growth, and mounting screws may border the central cavity on either side to provide secure support. Additionally, K-wire holes may be included which are visually linked to corresponding holes in the distal head.

    摘要: A mechanism for the distribution of a test vector for a system test to a parallel computing environment is discussed. A test vector which controls the parameterization of a system test being conducted is provided as an input parameter to a function. In one implementation, the test vector is declared as a distributed array data type. The processing of the input test vector parameter causes the test vector to be distributed to the parallel computing units holding portions of the system under test. The test vector is then used in executing the system test. The results of the execution of the system test using the test vector may then be saved in a distributed array or returned to a client for presentment to a user.

The transaction is like a debit transaction. A transaction is described that works similarly to a transfer function. The transaction can be for the enterprise's customers; can be for ATMs; can be in any of a variety of available languages; and can have a fixed number of charity options per ATM. The ATMs can be grouped by geography or other criteria. The transaction options can be determined by region and can be updated on a periodic basis. The ability to update options within hours to support disaster-relief efforts is described. The receipt can print a donation disclaimer and the receipt printing can be automatic and override established printing preferences.
