    摘要: An image reproducing material which comprises a support and at least a photosensitive resin layer and scratch resistance layer borne on the support, said scratch resistance layer containing a compound represented by AmBn, wherein A is mono- or divalent, straight or branched C.sub.11-20 aliphatic hydrocarbon; B is hydrogen, hydroxyl, amino, nitrile, aldehyde, carboxyl, or alkylamide, alkylester, ammonium salt or a periodic table group I-IV metal salt of a carboxylic acid; m is an integer of 1 to 3; and n is 1 or 2. A process for preparing the image reproducing material as well as a process for preparing an image reproduced material by using the image reproducing material are also described.

    摘要: A magnetic head is fixedly mounted on the cassette holder in a cassette tape recorder. When a tape cassette is inserted into the cassette holder, a magnetic tape is brought into contact with the front face of the magnetic head through an access opening in the tape cassette. In response to selection of stop, fast-forward, and rewind modes of operation, a pad shifter disposed on the cassette holder adjacent to the magnetic head is moved to displace a pad in the tape cassette out of pressed contact with the magnetic tape. When in a recording or playback mode of operation, the pad shifter is retracted to allow the pad to resiliently press the magnetic tape against the magnetic head. The tape recorder is rendered small in size particularly in the transverse direction of the tape cassette inserted.

The GLC layer is rigid and has a flat and smooth surface, so that it is free of stress concentration. By adjusting the plasma carburizing temperature and the concentration of the carburizing gas, carbon ions can penetrate the polished surface and form the carburized layer under the polished surface.

When accessing a file on the optical disc, a processor references the directory table so as to obtain information related to a position, on the disc medium, where the file to be accessed is located, without accessing the directory information on the optical disc. A disc I/O controller moves a pickup unit to the location indicated by the positional information on the file to be accessed and reads the data on the file. The pickup unit is used to detect signals from the optical disc.
