摘要: A fully inverted type SOI-MOSFET has a channel region 18 constructed of a portion that belongs to a top silicon layer 13 and is located just under a gate electrode 15 and a source region 16 and a drain region 17, which belong to the top silicon layer 13 and are located adjacent to this channel region 18. The channel region 18 is inverted throughout the entire thickness during operation. The source region 16 has a source resistance RS, which satisfies a relation that (1/gm)>RS with respect to the mutual conductance gm of the channel region 18 itself. According to this fully inverted type SOI-MOSFET, the effective mutual conductance (Gm) can be increased.

摘要: Provided is a cooling apparatus for feeding liquid coolant to electronic elements as heat generating elements in an electronic system through a cooling pipe. The cooling pipe is in part flattened so as to form flattened portion which is made into contact with the electronic parts for cooling the latter. With this arrangement, the pipe line working is simplified while the number of joint parts in the pipe line is decreased so as to prevent leakage of the liquid coolant. Further, the heat-exchange capacity of a heat-exchanger unit is controlled in accordance with an atmospheric temperature, a temperature in the electronic system and a temperature of the liquid coolant in order to aim at preventing occurrence of freezing or dewing while enhancing the operating efficiency. Further, in an electronic apparatus having two electronic systems, a liquid coolant tank is commonly used for two electronic systems in order to prevent occurrence of dewing or freezing in a cooling system for the electronic system on resting.

摘要: An apparatus for preparing NC data is used in machining an involute curve on a workpiece by relatively moving a tool and the workpiece along mutually perpendicular first and second axes encompassed within a plane while relatively rotating the tool and the workpiece about a third axis which is perpendicular to the plane. In the apparatus, there is provided involute curve definition devie defines the involute curve based upon input parameters, machining point calculation means calculates a series of machining points on the involute curve, and tangential line calculation device calculates a tangential line which connects the involute curve at each of the machining points. The apparatus further includes angle calculation device calculates a conversion angle through which each of the machining points is to be rotated about the third axis so as to make the tangential line at each of the machining points intersect one of the first and second axes at a right angle, coordinate conversion device converts coordinate values of each of the machining points into modified coordinate values which each of the machining points would have if the same were rotated about the third axis through the conversion angle calculated by the angle calculation device, and data preparation device prepares NC data of numerous data blocks each including the conversion angle and the converted coordinate values of each of the machining points.

摘要: An optical disk unit has an optical system which is separated into a movable head assembly and a fixed optical system so that the movable head is made light weight. The movable head has an objective lens, an objective lens driving unit for focusing the objective lens, and a head moving unit for moving the whole movable head in the radial direction of an optical disk. The fixed optical system has a galvanomirror for deflecting the light emitted from a laser beam source and causing it to fall on the objective lens of the movable head, and detectors for receiving the light of the optical spot formed by the objective lens which is reflected from the optical disk. The galvanomirror is provided with a first mirror for reflecting the light emitted from the beam source to a plane intersecting the rotational shaft at right angles and directing the light to a fixed mirror, and a second mirror for deflecting the light reflected from the fixed mirror and directing the light to the objective lens. As a result, when the galvanomirror is rotated, the light reflected from the second mirror is constantly passed through a portion near the focal point of the objective lens of the light source side and falls on the objective lens.

摘要: To improve high frequency characteristics of a transformer in a switching power supply device and to reduce its size, the switching power supply device is formed of a voltage converting section in a thin-film laminated structure, a single semiconductor chip and a wiring layer situated between the voltage converting section and the single semiconductor chip. All the active elements including switching elements and voltage controlling sections are incorporated into the semiconductor chip and are connected to the voltage converting section through the wiring layer. To reduce the effects other than inductance of the electrical components, a thin film transformer is formed of a spiral-shaped primary coil and secondary coil formed on a substrate. The primary and secondary coils are arranged so that phases of forming cycles in the radial direction are different to have a staggered relation. Accordingly, the capacity of the parasitic capacitors between the primary coil and the secondary coil is very small.

摘要: An optical recording/reproducing apparatus includes a plurality of semiconductor lasers, an objective lens for focusing light beams from the semiconductor lasers on an optical disk to form a plurality of light spots, and a correction unit for reducing an offset in a tracking signal occurring concomitantly with relative position correction for the light spots. The correction unit includes a rotary wedge-shaped prism disposed in an optical path through which a laser beam incident on the optical disk and a reflection laser beam from a light spot on the disk pass in opposite directions. The shape, refractive index and initial installation angle of the wedge-shaped prism are designed to have predetermined values that cancel the position shift of the laser beam on the objective lens surface occurring concomitantly with deflection of the laser beam.
