    摘要: According to the present invention on a magnetoresistance device having a magnetoresistance effect element, since iron oxide FeO.sub.x exhibiting antiferromagnetism is used as a pinning layer, a spin-valve type magnetoresistance effect element can be obtained which is particularly excellent in corrosion resistance and has a magnetoresistance ratio with an MR slope no less than 0.7% Oe in the region of the high-frequency magnetic field of 1 MHz. Further, the rise-up characteristic of an MR curve at the zero magnetic field is extremely excellent with small hysteresis, and it has high heat resistance. The heat resistance is further improved by interposing an oxygen blocking layer between the pinning layer and a ferromagnetic layer. In the magnetoresistance device, for example, an MR head, using the magnetoresistance effect element having a magnetic multilayer film, an output voltage is approximately five times as high as that of the conventional material. Accordingly, there can be provided an excellent MR head which has extremely high reliability and enables the reading for ultrahigh density magnetic recording exceeding 1 Gbit/inch.sup.2.

    摘要: An apparatus, and method of use therefor, adapted to evaluate angles of rotation of joints for coupling arm-to-arm to each other on the basis of information representative of position and orientation of a tip of a manipulator having six or less arms, which are sequentially coupled with each other, so as to implement the position and the orientation of the tip of the manipulator. A matrix equation is evaluated beforehand in accordance with a mathematical expression processing. Parameters, which represent a figure of the manipulator, are inputted into the resultant matrix equation. Further, the information representative of position and orientation of the tip of the manipulator is entered to evaluate the angles of rotation of joints in accordance with a numerical resolution.

    摘要: In the disclosed distance measuring arrangement, a light projector turns on and off to illuminate an object over the ambient light during projection periods when light is projected and during space periods when light is not projected. The reflected light is detected as a function of distance by integrating projection signals representing light reflected during projection periods, integrating space signals representing light during reflected space periods, subtracting the integration space signals from the projection signals, and extracting measurements based on the subtractions. Compensation for change in ambient light between periods is obtained by changing the timing of the integrations and extractions from concidence with the projections and space periods.

    摘要: In the disclosed distance measuring device a light source projects light on an object to be photographed. A photo-electric converter for receiving light reflected from the object includes at least one photo-electric converting portion whose electric charge varies according to the quantity of light incident thereon. A control includes a first electric charge store which stores an electric charge produced at the photo-electric converting portion while the light is projected from the light source, a second electric charge store which stores an electric charge produced at the photo-electric converting portion while light is not projected from the light source, and a detector which detects at least one of the amounts of electric charge stored at the first and second electric charge stores. The control varies the quantity of light projected by the light source on the basis of the result detected by the detector.
