摘要: There is disclosed a positioning head for cutting and marking apparatus, whereby when a plurality of cutter wheels or marking-off wheels are successively moved into place, the positioning head or heads which have already been positioned in place can be locked in place. The positioning head comprises, within a housing mounted on the boss of the cutter or marking-off wheel and slidably fitted on two guide bars, a feed gear threadedly engaged with a feed screw shaft which is extended through the housing, an input gear slidably mounted on an input shaft which is extended through the housing, a group of driving gears for transmitting the rotation of the input gear to the feed gear, and a clutch for connecting and disconnecting the driving force transmitted to the feed gear from the input gear, whereby after the positioning head has been put in place, the clutch may be disengaged so as to lock the positioning head in place while any other positioning head is being moved.

摘要: A switching controlgear of circuit breaker 100 outputs an opening command signal or closing command signal to the circuit breaker with the maximum being 1 cycle or less of wait time when the opening command signal or closing command signal is detected, and can cause the circuit breaker to open or to close at a desired phase of the main circuit current or power system voltage. The switching controlgear of circuit breaker 100 has switching control signal output time calculation means 10 and switching command signal output delay means 20. The switching control signal output time calculation means 10 calculates the switching control signal output time using the detection timing of the opening command signal or closing command signal as a reference so that the circuit breaker opens or closes at the desired phase after the total time of the switching control signal output time and the estimated opening operation time or estimated closing operation time of the circuit breaker 620 is elapsed. The switching command signal output delay means 20 outputs a delay-controlled opening command signal or a delay-controlled closing command signal to the circuit breaker after the switching control signal output time, which is the latest, is elapsed when an opening command signal or closing command signal is actually detected.

摘要: Information recording area of an optical disk is divided radially into a plurality of recording areas with a boundary area interposed therebetween. The boundary area is formed as either a high-reflection area that presents a higher reflection light level than the divided recording areas or a low-reflection area that presents a lower reflection light level than the divided recording areas. When an instruction is given to move an optical head from a current point to the target point over the optical disk, a seek operation is performed up to the start point of one of the divided recording areas that contains the target point, while detecting, on the basis of a variation in the reflection light level, the boundary area located between another one of the divided recording areas that contains the current point and the divided recording area containing the target point. Then, a further seek operation is performed up to the target point by calculating a distance, from the start point of the divided recording area containing the target point, to the target point. With this arrangement, a method is provided which can perform an appropriate seek operation at high speed even on an optical disk that mixedly includes areas of different recording densities.

摘要: The surface of a steel material is irradiated with ion beams, held at a temperature of 100.degree.-400.degree. C. and then subjected to vapor deposition plating in vacuo. The vapor deposition plating may be performed by successively or simultaneously depositing different plating metals. The temperature control may use the sensible heat of the steel material, wherein the vapor deposition plating is applied to the surface of the steel material, which is in the temperature range of 100.degree.-400.degree. C. during cooling after ion beam irradiation, in a vacuum atmosphere. Since the surface of the steel material is held at a temperature of 100.degree.-400.degree.C., a lot of active spots remain on the surface. The active spots serve as starting points for the vapor deposition of the plating metals. The obtained plating layer is excellent in adhesiveness, workability, corrosion resistance and conformability to paint.
