摘要: An electrical protection system which uses a ground fault interrupter (GFI) to protect a circuit from (A) ground faults and (B) overcurrents and/or overvoltages. For overcurrent protection, a control element may be coupled in series with the line or return input to the GFI, and a bypass element may be coupled in parallel with the control element and the GFI. In case of an overcurrent, the control element causes current to be diverted through the bypass element, thereby creating a current imbalance in the GFI circuitry causing the GFI to open the circuit. For overvoltage protection, a bypass element (e.g. a varistor) may be coupled between, e.g., the line sense input of the GFI and the return sense input of the GFI. In case of an overvoltage, the bypass element conducts current, thereby creating a current imbalance in the GFI circuitry causing the GFI to open the circuit.

摘要: A silver halide color photographic reflection print element comprises a paper support impregnated or coated with a substance that lowers its oxygen transmission rate and its oxygen leak rate, at least one polyolefin-containing layer containing a total of at least 70 g/m.sup.2 or a polyolefin coated on the paper support, and at least one color-forming silver halide emulsion layer, said emulsion layer or layers overlying a polyolefin-containing layer. In one embodiment, the paper support is impregnated with a substance that lowers its oxygen gas transmission rate to less than 1 cc/m.sup.2 /day and its oxygen leak rate to less than a 25 cc/m.sup.2 /day. The support has low permeability to oxygen and to water vapor. The silver halide color photographic element produces a dye image with improved resistance to fading by light, particularly under conditions of prolonged exposure to low-intensity light.

摘要: Concrete moulding apparatus (10) is provided which has a mould (19) through which concrete is extruded from a hopper (17) by the action of a pusher plate (22) reciprocating in the hopper (17) towards and away from the mould entrance (20). The pusher plate (22) is arranged to pivot during reciprocation to cause excess material forced towards the mould entrance (20) to be squeezed upwardly back into the hopper (17).

摘要: A ratcheting pliers device for extracting a fastener from a substrate includes a first arm, which is pivotally engaged to a second arm to define a pair of jaws and a pair of handles. Each jaw has a cutout for insertion of a head of a fastener. A ratchet bar, which is pivotally engaged to the first arm, has a plurality of first teeth extending from its upper surface. A biaser engaged to the first arm and the ratchet bar is positioned to pivot the ratchet bar into engagement with a second tooth that is coupled to the second arm. The second tooth sequentially engages the first teeth as the first arm and the second arm are motivated to a proximate orientation, concurrently with the jaws being motivated to a closed configuration. The jaws are prevented from opening while a user pulls on the handles to extract the fastener.

摘要: The method and system of the present invention provides an improved technique for replacing, implementing and managing computer-related assets. A technician accesses the World Wide Web through a user's computer. The information resident on the computer, including information regarding the computer and the user's preferences, are downloaded to a remote storage medium through the World Wide Web. Once downloaded, all information may be removed from the user's computer. Subsequently, the technician accesses another computer such as, for example, a new computer that has been assigned to the same user. The technician accesses the World Wide Web through the new computer and downloads the information previously stored on the remote storage medium. This information can then be used to install the user's prior applications, settings and preferences on the new computer.
