摘要: An apparatus, a method and a system are provided, wherein the system includes an encoding engine to encode and/or compress one or more objects of interest within individual image frames with higher bit densities than the bit density employed to encode and/or compress their background. The system may further include a context engine to identify a region of interest including at least a part of the one or more objects of interest, and scale the region of interest within individual image frames to emphasize the objects of interest.

摘要: A photorefractive composition and a photorefractive device comprising the composition are disclosed. The composition is configured to be photorefractive upon irradiation by a laser having a wavelength in the visible light spectrum and comprises a polymer, a non linear optical chromophore, and a plasticizer. In an embodiment, the percentage of polymer recurring units that comprise a charge transport moiety is less than 30%. In an embodiment, the polymer is selected from the group consisting of polycarbonate, polyurea, polyurethane, poly(meth)acrylate, polyester, polyimide, and combinations thereof. Preferably, the composition has a diffraction efficiency of about 30% or greater upon irradiation with a visible light laser.

摘要: A communication device includes a receiving unit, a number obtaining unit, and a reminder unit. The incoming receiving unit receives an incoming call request from a caller. The number obtaining unit obtains a phone number of the caller from the incoming call request. The reminder unit includes a reminder state, and a non-reminder state which is default. The reminder unit generates a prompt to remind a callee to accept the incoming call when in the reminder state, and does not generate a prompt for the incoming call when in the non-reminder state. The reminder unit changes into the reminder state from the non-reminder state when the phone number of the caller is not listed in a phonebook of the communication device and request duration of the incoming call reaches a predetermined value.

摘要: The data amount of coding data is to be reduced by using a larger block. An edge LMB determination unit 34 determines an edge block having a size smaller than a block size of a set block. An LMB motion prediction and compensation unit 35 determines a coding efficiency at a prediction block size corresponding to a size of a non-square region determined as the edge block or a prediction block size corresponding to a size of plural non-square regions obtained by dividing the region determined as the edge block in one of directions of a horizontal direction and a vertical direction with respect to the edge block to generate prediction image data at the prediction block size at which the coding efficiency becomes highest. With respect to the edge block, a prediction block size of a macro block at a lower level having a small size is used, and it is possible to avoid the division of the edge block into a large number of blocks to be coded, so that the data amount of the coding data can be reduced.

摘要: A method and system for detecting and modeling a catheter in a fluoroscopic image is disclosed. Catheter tip candidates and catheter body candidates are detected in the fluoroscopic image. One of a plurality of trained shape models is fitted to the catheter tip candidates and the catheter body candidates in order to model a shape of the catheter in the fluoroscopic image.

摘要: The invention relates to image processing device and method that can further improve coding efficiency. An orthogonal transform part 151 orthogonally transforms pixel values of a process target block of an input image by 4×4. A 2×2 block generation part 152 extracts four direct-current components from the coefficient data, and generates a 2×2 block using the direct-current components. An orthogonal transform part 153 further orthogonally transforms the 2×2 block. An 8×8 block generation part 161 generates an 8×8 block with the 2×2 block at the upper left portion. An inverse orthogonal transform part 162 subjects the supplied 8×8 curved surface block to inverse orthogonal transform. The pixel values of the 8×8 block subjected to inverse orthogonal transform form a curved surface. The curved surface constitutes a predicted image. The invention can be applied to an image processing device, for example.
