A control apparatus for an induction motor and an electric car propelling motor includes an inverter for supplying a driving current to the induction motor on the basis of a predetermined control signal, a rotational speed sensor for detecting a rotational speed of the induction motor, a V/f control circuit responsive to an input speed command signal for producing a control signal for the inverter, a vector control circuit for producing an inverter control signal on the basis of the speed command signal and the rotational speed signal of the rotational speed sensor, an abnormality detecting circuit for detecting abnormality of the rotational speed sensor. A change-over circuit having inputs supplied with outputs of the V/f control circuit and the vector control circuit, respectively, selects the inverter control signal from the V/f control circuit in response to detection of abnormality of the rotational speed sensor while selecting the inverter control signal supplied from the vector control circuit so long as no abnormality is detected in the rotational speed sensor.

A motor unit comprises: an in-unit shaft; a stator provided along the circumferential direction of the in-unit shaft; two rotors rotating together with the in-unit shaft and provided so as to face both surfaces of the stator in the circumferential direction; and engagement sections provided to the surface of each of the rotors which is on the side opposite the stator. The present invention provides a motor which includes a stator including a plurality of one-phase stators composed of a pair of stator cores having claw-type teeth and a coil for generating magnetic flux at the claw-type teeth, and a rotor for generating torque at a rotary shaft, wherein the stator core includes a plurality of split cores having the same shape, and the split cores are formed to have a recessed portion and a projected portion to be fitted in the recessed portion. Thereby, by using a plurality of the split cores having the same shape, one stator core is formed. On this occasion, the shape of the split cores is molded so that the recessed portion and the projected portion of one stator core are disposed at positions at which those are fitted to the projected portion and the recessed portion of the opposing stator core, respectively.

A power controller for a vehicle can operate electrical load upon stopping of engine or turning OFF of a key switch, without lowering of remaining capacity of a main battery. The control system has a control portion controlling operation of a power generator and an electrical load mounted on an automotive vehicle. The control system also includes remaining capacity measuring means for measuring a remaining capacity of a battery. The control portion energizes a predetermined power load when an engine is stopped or a key switch is held OFF, and operation of the power load is stopped when a remaining capacity of the battery measured by the remaining capacity measuring means becomes smaller than a predetermined value.
