Abstract: A display device that can display a high-quality image is provided. The display device includes a first conductive layer, a second conductive layer, a light-emitting layer, and a lens. The light-emitting layer is provided over the first conductive layer, the second conductive layer is provided over the light-emitting layer, and the lens is provided over the second conductive layer. The lens contains a photosensitive material. An end portion of the lens is located more outward than an end portion of the light-emitting layer and an end portion of the second conductive layer. The display device further includes an insulating layer, and the insulating layer includes a region in contact with a top surface of the lens, a region in contact with a side surface of the second conductive layer, and a region in contact with a side surface of the light-emitting layer.

Abstract: A method for fabricating a display device that easily achieves higher resolution is provided. A display device having both high display quality and high resolution is provided. A first EL film is formed over a first pixel electrode and a second pixel electrode; a first sacrificial film is formed to cover the first EL film; the first sacrificial film and the first EL film are etched to expose the second pixel electrode and to form a first EL layer over the first pixel electrode and a first sacrificial layer over the first EL layer; and the first sacrificial layer is removed. The first EL film and the second EL film are etched by dry etching, and the first sacrificial layer is removed by wet etching.

Abstract: A light-emitting device or a display device that is less likely to be broken is provided. Provided is a light-emitting device including an element layer and a substrate over the element layer. At least a part of the substrate is bent to the element layer side. The substrate has a light-transmitting property and a refractive index that is higher than that of the air. The element layer includes a light-emitting element that emits light toward the substrate side. Alternatively, provided is a light-emitting device including an element layer and a substrate covering a top surface and at least one side surface of the element layer. Abstract: A display device that enables a user to see a bright image is provided. In the display device, a first substrate, a light-emitting element, an insulating layer, a coloring layer, a planarization layer, a plano-convex lens, a resin layer, and a second substrate are stacked in this order from the bottom. The plano-convex lens is curved outwards in the upper direction of the display device. A convex portion of the plano-convex lens is in contact with a resin layer, and the refractive index of the resin layer is lower than the refractive index of the plano-convex lens. Light emitted by the light-emitting element is converged in the forward direction by the plano-convex lens.

An embodiment is a display device which includes a first pixel electrode, a second pixel electrode, a light-emitting layer, a common electrode, a first protective layer, and a semi-transmissive layer. The common electrode is positioned over the light-emitting layer. The first protective layer is positioned over the common electrode. The semi-transmissive layer is positioned over the first protective layer. Reflectivity with respect to visible light of the semi-transmissive layer is higher than reflectivity with respect to visible light of the common electrode. The semi-transmissive layer does not overlap with the first region and overlaps with the second region. For example, the semi-transmissive layer may include an opening in a position overlapping with the first region.

Abstract: A high-resolution display apparatus is provided. The display apparatus includes first to third light-emitting devices, a color conversion layer, and first and second insulating layers. The first light-emitting device includes a first pixel electrode, a first light-emitting layer, and a common electrode. The second light-emitting device includes a second pixel electrode, a second light-emitting layer, and the common electrode. The third light-emitting device includes a third pixel electrode, a third light-emitting layer, and the common electrode. The first and second light-emitting layers contain the same light-emitting material. The third light-emitting material emits shorter-wavelength light than the first and second light-emitting devices. The color conversion layer overlaps with the first light-emitting device. The color conversion layer converts a color of light emitted from the first light-emitting device into a different color. The first and second insulating layers each overlap with a side surface and part of a top surface of the first light-emitting layer and a side surface and part of a top surface of the second light-emitting layer. The common electrode covers a top surface of the second insulating layer.
