摘要: There is disclosed a device for changing an original engine sound from an exhaust pipe of a vehicle such as a car and a motorcycle. The device includes a control module in which various engine sounds from the exhaust pipes of vehicles are recorded. A selection module is connected to the control module. The selection module is installed near the steering wheel or handle of the vehicle. A sensing module is connected to the control module. The sensing module senses the motion of the accelerator of the vehicle. An amplifier is connected to an output terminal of the control module. A speaker is connected to the amplifier. A muffling module is connected to the control module. The muffling module muffles the original engine sound from the exhaust pipe of the vehicle. With the selection module, a user can select one from the various engine sounds. With the muffling module, the user can muffle the original engine sound of the vehicle. The selected engine sound and the signal related to the motion of the accelerator are transmitted to the control module. The selected engine sound is generated in a manner corresponding to the manner the vehicle is driven. The fun in driving the vehicle is increased.

摘要: A method and system for providing acknowledgment and/or data rate control (DRC) information with respect to data packets conveyed on a plurality of active forward link (FL) carriers. The number of reverse link (RL) carriers employed for the acknowledgment and/or DRC information may be less than the number of active FL carriers, and may be a single carrier, even when the signaling protocol is, in the limit, consistent with presently-supported standardized CDMA protocols. Code multiplexing techniques are employed inventively to convey information for up to fifteen FL carriers on a single, standard CDMA channel designed to provide such signaling for only a single FL carrier at a time.

摘要: A solder bar compatible with conventional flip chip technology fabrication methods for high power/high current applications includes first and second generally circular solder pads of diameter D formed upon a substrate and connected by a solder bar pad of width BW. The centers of the generally circular solder pads are spaced apart by distance BL (bar length). A mass of solder having volume VB is formed over the first and second generally circular solder pads and over the solder bar pad to form a dog-bone shaped solder bar. The solder bar reaches height H1 above the centers of the first and second generally circular solder pads, and reaching height H2 above the midpoint of the solder bar pad. The values for diameter D, bar length BL, bar width BW, and solder volume VB are selected in such manner that H1 and H2 are approximately equal. Conventional circular (as viewed from above) solder bumps can be formed upon the same substrate; in this case, heights H1 and H2 are made approximately equal to the height of the conventional solder bumps.

摘要: A periodic clock display method and system for a viewing device, such as a television set. A clock is displayed on a viewing device according to a first time interval and a second time interval. The first time interval determines how long the viewing device displays the clock. After the first time interval is finished, the clock is removed from the viewing device. The second time interval determines how long the clock remains off the viewing device. When the second time interval is complete, the clock is again displayed on the viewing device for the duration of the first time interval. This continues indefinitely until the user turns the periodic clock display function off.

摘要: A battery management system for an electrified powertrain of a hybrid vehicle includes one or more sensors configured to measure voltage, current, and temperature for a battery system of the hybrid vehicle and a controller. The controller is configured to obtain an equivalent circuit model for the battery system, determine a set of states for the battery system to be estimated, determine a set of parameters for the battery system to be estimated, receive, from the sensor(s), the measured voltage, current, and temperature for the battery system, using the equivalent circuit model and the measured voltage, current, and temperature of the battery system, estimate the sets of states and parameters for the battery system using a mixed sigma-point Kalman filtering (SPKF) and recursive least squares (RLS) technique, and using the sets of estimated states/parameters for the battery system, control an electric motor of the electrified vehicle.
