    摘要: A biodegradable biopolymer material consists of silk fibroin from domesticated silkworm; silk fibroin from wild silkworm; a composite material comprising silk fibroin from domesticated silkworm and silk fibroin from wild silkworm; or a composite material comprising either silk fibroin from domesticated silkworm or silk fibroin from wild silkworm and at least one secondary substance selected from the group consisting of cellulose, chitin, chitosan, chitosan derivatives, keratin from wool and polyvinyl alcohol. The material may be prepared by, for instance, casting an aqueous solution of domesticated silkworm silk fibroin on the surface of a substrate and then cast drying the applied solution. The biodegradable biopolymer material is effectively used as, for instance, a metal ion-adsorbing material, a sustained release substrate for a useful substance such as a medicine, a biological cell-growth substrate and a biodegradable water-absorbing material.

    摘要: An electrical connector capable of being assembled at improved efficiency. The connector includes an insulative housing having contact accommodation portions, which are closed by a cover member having lock means. Contacts with which a cable is connected are received in the contact accommodation portions of the housing. The housing is fabricated integrally with the cover member via a hinge. The cover member closes openings in the accommodation portions. The lock means has engagement pawls standing upright from the upper surface of the housing. When the accommodation portions are dosed, the engagement pawls come into engagement with engagement portions formed in the cover member.

    摘要: There are disclosed a pressure-sensitive adhesive for polarizing plates which is formed by irradiating a pressure-sensitive adhesive material with an active energy beam, the material containing an acrylic copolymer (A) and an acrylic copolymer bearing an active energy beam-polymerizable group on a side chain (B), and which has a storage elastic modulus (G′) at 23 ° C. in the range of 0.3 to 10 MPa: a polarizing plate which is having a pressure-sensitive adhesive, and which comprises a layer composed of the above pressure-sensitive adhesive; and a process for the production of the polarizing plate having a pressure-sensitive adhesive, which comprises sticking a polarizing plate on a pressure-sensitive adhesive material layer formed on a releasing layer of a releasing sheet, and thereafter irradiating the polarizing plate with an active energy-beam from the releasing sheet side. The pressure-sensitive adhesive for polarizing plates is characterized in that it can favorably sticking a polarizing plate to a liquid crystal cell and that a resultant liquid crystal display unit is less liable to cause light leakage even in an environment of high temperature and high humidity.

    摘要: A variable compression-ratio, multiple-link type reciprocating internal combustion engine has at least three links, namely an upper link, a lower link and a third link, for each engine cylinder. The upper link is connected to a piston pin, the lower link connects the upper link to a crank pin, and the third link is pivoted at one end to a body of the engine and connected at its other end to either of the upper and lower links to permit oscillating motion of the third link on the engine body. The upper link, the lower link, and the third link are dimensioned and laid out, so that the amplitude of a second-order vibration component of a vibrating system of reciprocating motion of the piston, synchronizing rotary motion of the crankshaft, is suppressed and reduced to below a predetermined threshold value, while realizing the same piston stroke and engine-cylinder height as a single-link type reciprocating internal combustion engine in which a piston pin and a crank pin are connected to each other by a single link.
