摘要: To securely lock connectors for charging, a charging connectors 1 is engaged with a vehicle-side connector 25, lock balls 9 are engaged with an engaging groove 28 and a locking member 10 is engaged with the lock balls 9. As a result, the connectors 1 and 25 are locked. Since the connectors 1 and 25 are locked by a ball lock mechanism taking advantage of the engagement of the lock balls 9, the connectors can be more securely locked even if the connectors and wires are heavy as compared to a prior art locking mechanism adopting an elastically deformable resin lance or engaging member and, therefore, a better reliability can be ensured.

摘要: To facilitate the charging of an electric automotive vehicle, a primary coil 31 connected with a charging power source is so provided as to project from a wall surface W of a parking space. An electric automotive vehicle E is advanced toward the wall surface W and parked in a position where the primary coil 31 is accommodated in a receptacle 11 provided below a front bumper B of the vehicle E. Then, a pressure switch 40 provided in a shock absorbing material 39 operates to detect the presence of the vehicle E, and the primary coil 31 is excited. A secondary coil 14 is provided above the receptacle 11. A voltage is generated in the secondary coil 14 by action of electromagnetic induction, thereby charging a battery 19.

摘要: A breaker device is provided to prevent an insufficient engagement of electrodes. The device, according to the invention, is excellent in safety because of its construction in which a conductive path is located inside the casing 1 and is allowed to have a compact configuration of particularly low height because a handle 40 can be inclined to its resting position. When the handle 40 is inclined to the resting position while a movable electrode 31 is insufficiently engaged, engaging portions 77 come into contact with receiving portions 75 and a lever action works with the contact positions of the engaging portions 77 and the receiving portions 75 as a fulcrum. As a result, a rotating force applied to an operable portion 40A is translated into a downward acting engaging force applied to the movable electrode 31 via rotation center shafts 45 and a mount body 35. In other words, since the movable electrode 31 is brought into its properly engaged state by inclining the handle 40 to the resting position, the insufficient engagement of the movable electrode 31 can be prevented.

摘要: A hard disk drive includes a magnetic disk used as a magnetic recording medium, and a magnetic head for applying magnetic fields to the disk to record data and for detecting magnetic fields from the disk to reproduce data. During recording and reproducing, the head is moved relative to the disk so as to define a track, which is a series of a number of recording bits, on the disk. At this time, the head is brought into contact with the disk, with a head contact width in the track width direction. The disk has a surface texture which presents a single peak amplitude value falling in a range of being equal to or more than 0.5 nm, and equal to or less than the recording bit length, when the surface texture is factorized into frequency compositions by means of Fourier transform. A wave length for providing the peak amplitude value falls in a range of being ten times the recording bit length or more, and equal to or less than the head contact width.

摘要: An apparatus having a magnetic head assembly including a plurality of arms each arm having a magnetic head fixed to a nose portion thereof and a magnetic disk unit having a plurality of magnetic disks mounted on a rotating shaft. The spacing between adjacent magnetic disks being set at a value corresponding to the thicknesses of the magnetic heads fixed to two of the arms, plus the thickness of the two arms, plus a rotating gap of the magnetic heads, plus a space of 0.1 mm or less. Further included is a disk height measuring device and a head measuring device for measuring the heights of the disks and the magnetic heads. An expansion device expands the spacing between the adjacent arms. The spacing between the adjacent arms being expanded an appropriate amount to provide optimal operation of the magnetic disk apparatus.
