Abstract:
A burner element is provided. The burner element includes a surface that potentially comes into contact with a fuel. The surface potentially coming into contact with the fuel has a coating including aluminum oxide. A burner including the burner element is also provided. Further, a method for coating a surface of a burner element potentially coming into contact with a fuel is described, wherein the surface potentially coming into contact with the fuel is coated with aluminum oxide.
Abstract:
An evaporative cooler for cooling a gas stream, in particular an air stream, including a number of cooling elements located in a flow channel, is provided. A liquid, preferably water, is supplied by a feed device and will be vaporized or evaporated. In one aspect, the surface of at least one of the cooling elements has hydrophilic properties, at least in one sub-region designed to form a liquid film.
Abstract:
Known protective layers with a high Cr content and additionally a silicon form brittle phases, which become even more brittle under the influence of carbon during use. The protective layer according to the invention has the composition 27% to 31% nickel, 23% to 29% chromium, 7% to 11% aluminum, 0.5% to 0.7% yttrium and/or at least one equivalent metal from the group comprising scandium and rare earth elements, optionally 0.6% to 0.8% silicon, optionally 0.5% to 0.7% zirconium and the remainder cobalt.
Abstract:
Protective layers of the MCrAlX type according to the prior art are often provided with a platinum layer to prevent diffusion of elements out of the base material into the MCrAlX. The MCrAlX alloy according to the invention includes halogens (F, Cl, Br, I), which prevent this diffusion, in particular of titanium.
Abstract:
Known protective layers with a high Al and/or Cr content and additionally strengthened by Re form brittle phases which become more brittle during use under the influence of carbon. The protective layer according to the invention has the composition 0.5 to 2% rhenium, 24 to 26% cobalt, 15 to 21% chromium, 9 to 11.5% aluminum, 0.05 to 0.7% yttrium and/or at least one equivalent metal selected from the group consisting of scandium and the rare earth elements, 0 to 1% ruthenium, remainder cobalt and/or nickel and manufacturing-related impurities, and reveals scarcely any embrittlement caused by Cr/Re precipitates.
Abstract:
An oxidation resistant component is disclosed comprising a substrate and a protective layer. The protective layer consists of an inner MCrAlY layer contiguous with the substrate and an outer layer. The outer layer is characterized by having an Al content of up to 6.5 wt. % and having the structure of a pure γ-Ni phase.
Abstract:
A protective layer has the composition 0.5 to 2% of rhenium, 15 to 21% of chromium, 9 to 11.5% of aluminum, 0.05 to 0.7% of yttrium and/or at least one equivalent metal from the group consisting of scandium and the rare earths, 0 to 1% of ruthenium, remainder cobalt and/or nickel and production-related impurities, and is scarcely subject to any embrittlement from Cr/Re precipitations.
Abstract:
A metallic coating is provided. The nickel based metallic coating includes tantalum, cobalt, chromium, and aluminum. The nickel based metallic coating does not include silicon and/or hafnium and/or zirconium. A tantalum addition in nickel based coating stabilized the phases gamma/gamma1 at high temperatures leading to a reduction of local stresses.
Abstract:
At least two ply layers of ceramic on a substrate which is applied to protect a surface in a heated hot environment. Each of the outer and bottom layers including zirconium oxide and stabilizers of yttrium oxide in different respective proportions of the yttrium oxide; the outer layer has fully stabilized zirconium oxide and the bottom layer has partially stabilized zirconium oxide.
Abstract:
A two-layered NiCoCrAlY layer is provided. The layer includes a bottom and a top layer. Through the use of a two-layered NiCoCrAlY layer, it is possible to reduce the formation of cracks in the thermally grown oxide layer as forms on account of the protective action of the NiCoCrAlY layers.
