    摘要: A data processor according to the present invention includes: a receiving section to receive a data stream including data of first primary video to be presented by switching pictures at a first vertical scanning frequency and data of first auxiliary video to be presented synchronously with the first primary video; and a converting section for converting the first primary video data and the first auxiliary video data into data of synthetic video to be presented by switching the pictures at a second vertical scanning frequency, which is different from the first vertical scanning frequency. The data stream includes timing information defining respective times to present the first primary video and the first auxiliary video. The converting section associates second auxiliary video, having the same contents as the first auxiliary video on a picture of the first primary video, with a picture of second primary video, having the same contents as the counterpart of the first primary video, thereby generating synthetic video composed of the second primary video and the second auxiliary video.

    摘要: An image decoding device decodes views coded using inter-view prediction even when decoding is not instantly completed. The image decoding device includes a decoding processing unit which decodes a second view coded with reference to a first view; and a buffer memory provided upstream of the decoding processing unit. When the first view and the second view are assigned with an identical decoding point in time, the decoding processing unit decodes a picture of the second view at a point in time determined by adding a delay time which has a length required to complete decoding of a picture of the first view, to the decoding point in time assigned to the picture of the second view.

    摘要: The present invention provides a playback apparatus for playing back one combination video by combining a broadcast video with any additional video not determined by a fixed position relative to the broadcast video. The playback apparatus comprises: a first receiving unit that receives, via a broadcast wave, a broadcast video composed of broadcast images, each broadcast image being a portion of a frame image among a plurality of frame images constituting the original video; a second receiving unit that receives an additional video composed of remaining images, each remaining image being the remaining portion of the frame image; an arrangement information acquiring unit that acquires arrangement information indicating an arrangement of the broadcast image and the remaining image in the frame image; and a playback unit that reproduces and plays back the frame images by arranging the broadcast images and the remaining images based on the arrangement information.

    摘要: Provided is a recording medium in which extents for a base-view and a dependent-view are arranged alternately. The lower limit of the size of the base-view extents is the larger of a first lower limit value and a second lower limit value. The lower limit of the size of the dependent-view extent is a third lower limit value. The first lower limit value is determined so that, in monoscopic video playback, buffer underflow does not occur during jump periods between base-view extents. The second lower limit value is determined so that, in stereoscopic video playback, buffer underflow does not occur during read periods from each base-view extent to a next dependent-view extent. The third lower limit value is determined so that, in stereoscopic video playback, buffer underflow does not occur during read periods from each dependent-view extent to the next base-view extent.

    摘要: A playback device for playing back a graphics stream in accordance with a stream selection table recorded on the recording medium. A procedure means determines a playback type of a graphics corresponding to the current stream number, based on the playback capability indicated by the capability register. The playback of graphics streams falls into two types, one of which is a first playback type in which a monoscopic graphics stream is used and the other is a second playback type in which a pair of left-eye graphics stream and right-eye graphics stream is used to perform a stereoscopic playback. The capability register indicates whether or not a capability to perform the stereoscopic playback by using the pair of left-eye graphics stream and right-eye graphics stream is present in the graphics decoder.
