Abstract:
An air/water advanced oxidation purification device includes a draft tube, a motor and at least one spiral partition plate. The spiral partition plate is fixed on an output shaft of the motor. The motor is supported in the draft tube and used for driving the spiral partition plate to rotate at uniform speed around the central axis of the draft tube and for driving air or water to enter into the draft tube. The spiral partition plate includes a plurality of miniature blades arranged along a radial direction of the spiral partition plate, each of the miniature blades includes a plurality of first and second protrusions continuously and staggered arranged along the radial direction and protruding towards two sides of the spiral partition plate, respectively. Air or water is purified through photo-catalytic advanced oxidation reaction or electro-catalytic oxidation-reduction reaction taken place on the surfaces of the spiral partition plate.
Abstract:
A liquid surfactant composition can include a C9-C20 alkylbenzene sulfonate, a first alcohol ether sulfate (AES), and a nonionic surfactant. The first AES surfactant can have a molecular formula of R1—O—(CH2—CH2—O)m—SO3M, wherein R1 represents a C10-C20 alkyl group, m represents a number from 6 to 8, and M represents a monovalent cation. The first AES surfactant can be a modified oxo-alcohol-based surfactant.
Abstract:
A liquid surfactant composition can include a C9-C20 alkylbenzene sulfonate, a nonionic surfactant, and an anionic surfactant. The anionic surfactant can include a first alcohol ether sulfate (AES) surfactant and a second AES surfactant. The first AES surfactant can have a molecular formula of R1—O—(CH2—CH2—O)m—SO3M, wherein R1 represents a C10-C20 alkyl group, m represents a number from 6 to 8, and M represents a monovalent cation. The second AES surfactant can have a molecular formula of R2—O—(CH2—CH2—O)n—SO3M′, wherein R2 represents a C10-C20 alkyl group, n is 2 or 3, and M′ represents a monovalent cation. The first AES surfactant and the second AES surfactant can be present in the liquid surfactant composition at a weight ratio to provide the liquid surfactant composition with a fresh viscosity from about 350 centipoise (cPS) to about 550 cps.
Abstract:
A height adjustable loading ramp installed at a tail of a car, for loading or unloading goods, includes: a slope plane and a supporter. The two ends of the slope plane are respectively supported on the ground and the supporter. The supporter includes: two supporting legs adjustable in length, a beam horizontally provided between lower portions of the two supporting legs, wheels for making the loading ramp move conveniently, and a scissor jack for adjusting the height. The scissor jack includes: four scissor jack arms equal in length, and an adjusting-locking device for adjusting and locking the height of the height adjustable loading ramp. In addition, the supporting leg comprises an auxiliary fixing unit for fixing the relative position between the upper and the lower supporting legs and providing an extra security protection, in such a manner that the height of the height adjustable loading ramp is locked.
Abstract:
Thumbnail images representative of recorded TV programs are generated and presented to aid a user in browsing the recorded TV programs. In one implementation, a temporary thumbnail image is generated when a TV program first starts recording. The temporary thumbnail is used to populate any user interface (UI) screens that reference the recoded TV program. Once the TV program has reached a threshold amount of recording (e.g., a prescribed duration of recording, or completion of the recording), a permanent thumbnail image is generated and associated with the TV program. The permanent thumbnail is then presented in any subsequent UI screens, replacing the temporary thumbnail. In another implementation, display of the thumbnail images in the UI screens may be further controlled by setting preferences, such as parental controls.
Abstract:
An electronic connector system includes an electronic package and an interposer connector assembly. The electronic package has a body with a conductive member disposed on a mating surface of the body. The conductive member is coupled with a conductive via that extends into the body and is oriented along a center axis. The interposer connector assembly includes a substrate with an elongated conductive pad mounted to the substrate and a contact joined to the conductive pad. The contact engages the conductive member when the electronic package mates with the interposer connector assembly such that the center axis extends through the contact.
Abstract:
Certain embodiments of the present invention provide a method for power management including determining at least one of an operating frequency and an operating voltage for a processor and configuring the processor based on the determined at least one of the operating frequency and the operating voltage. The operating frequency is determined based at least in part on direct user input. The operating voltage is determined based at least in part on an individual profile for processor.
Abstract:
A wild seaweed, like sea lettuce, is picked and germ cells are released from the seaweed. The germ cells then obtain adherence and are sprouted into youngs of the seaweed so that the seaweed can be cultivated artificially and productively and can be supplied as a material for biomass energy.
Abstract:
Certain embodiments of the present invention provide systems and method for automatic inference and adaptation of a virtualized computer environment. Certain embodiments of a system include a virtual topology and traffic inference framework tool adapted to monitor traffic for an application on a virtual network to produce a view of network demands for the application. The system also includes a monitoring tool adapted to monitor performance of an underlying physical network associated with the virtual network using traffic for the application. Further, the system includes an adaptation component adapted to automatically adapt the application to the virtual network based on the measured application traffic, the monitored network performance, and one or more adaptation control algorithms.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for smart media content thumbnail extraction are described. In one aspect program metadata is generated from recorded video content. The program metadata includes one or more key-frames from one or more corresponding shots. An objectively representative key-frame is identified from among the key-frames as a function of shot duration and frequency of appearance of key-frame content across multiple shots. The objectively representative key-frame is an image frame representative of the recorded video content. A thumbnail is created from the objectively representative key-frame.
