摘要： The comfey table system is a mental frame with attachment holes for support bars and rods with pins that hold the hydraulic legs, head, arms, chest, hips, knees and back attachments in place on the metal frame there is a control pad and wires that connect to the legs that control side to side and up and down positioning of the tables. All five versions can be lengthened and expanded width wise to accommodate any size patient. The comfey system consists of two surgery table tops, pregnancy, transfer, and recovery tables. The surgeon now can place the patients upside down and any other position and can sit down and perform any surgery of today or tomorrow while also controlling patient's blood flows temps with the heating and cooling pad.

摘要： A patient positioning apparatus includes a support member adapted for positioning beneath a patient and having an expandable material therein. The expandable material is adapted for transition from a first initial condition to a second expanded condition in the presence of an activating agent to facilitate support and stabilization of the body part with the support member and performance of a medical procedure. The expandable material may be a foamable liquid adapted to expand when subjected to the activating agent such as a propellant gas, air or foaming agent. In one application, the foamable liquid is a polyurethane.

The antennas may, for example, be positioned along an operating table, bed, a mattress or pad or a sheet and may be radiolucent. Respective antennas may successively be activated to transmit interrogation signals. Multiple antennas may be monitored for responses from transponders to the interrogation signals. For example, all antennas other than the antenna that transmitted the most recent interrogation signal may be monitored.

摘要： A system for regulating a core body temperature of a person includes a pressure applicator configured to apply negative or cyclical positive pressure to a portion of the person to vasodilate blood vessels of the person within the portion, a heating device configured to supply heat to the portion of the person, and a control apparatus. The control apparatus is coupled to the heating device and includes a controller configured to vary the amount of heat supplied by the heating device. The amount of heat supplied by the heating device is varied in response to a difference in temperature between a preset temperature programmed into the controller and an actual core body temperature of the patient received by the controller from a temperature sensor on the person such that the controller maintains the actual core body temperature of the person at substantially the preset temperature.

A viscoelastic pad is used to support and hold a patient on a medical procedure table during a medical procedure performed while the table, and thus the patient lying thereon, is in an inclined position, such as the Trendelenburg position. The viscoelastic pad has characteristics which promote a minimization of pressure forces on the patient's body, as well as promote a secure cushioning and holding of the patient in a desired position on the table, in order to minimize injury to the patient.

摘要： A limb irrigation pan device collects and removes irrigation fluid and debris from a surgical field when a limb is irrigated. The device includes a frame having a pair of opposed ends and a pair of longitudinal sides extending between the opposed ends. Respective upper surfaces of each opposed end are concavely arcuate and an upper edge of the frame defines an open top of the frame. A base is coupled to the opposed ends and the longitudinal sides defining a well for collecting a fluid passed into the frame through the open top. A porous sling is coupled to the frame for passing the fluid through the sling to be collected in the well. A drain coupled to the frame is in fluid communication with the well wherein the drain drains the fluid from the well.

摘要： A pad assembly, system and method of securing a patient onto an operating table when the patient is in the Trendelenburg position. The pad assembly and system is used to support and hold a patient on a medical procedure table during a medical procedure performed while the table, and thus the patient lying thereon, is in an inclined position, such as the Trendelenburg position. The pad assembly and system has characteristics which promote improved securing to eliminate shifting and/or sliding due to gravitational forces when the patient's body is in the Trendelenburg position, as well as promote a secure holding of the patient in a desired position on the table, in order to minimize injury to the patient. The pad assembly and system further has improved channels to allow for drainage of fluids that may otherwise be trapped between the patient's body and the OR Table during the surgical procedure.
