摘要: Drug delivery hubs are described herein. The drug delivery hub includes a hub housing, a reservoir, a nebulizer channel, and a gas channel. The hub housing defines a housing volume. The hub housing is configured to directly couple with a mask defining a patient cavity. The reservoir is disposed at least partially within the housing volume. The reservoir includes a reservoir volume configured to dispense a medicament. The nebulizer channel is in fluid communication with the reservoir volume and configured to be in fluid communication with the patient cavity when the hub is coupled with the mask. The gas channel is in fluid communication with the nebulizer channel. The gas channel is configured to direct a gas flow toward the patient cavity through the nebulizer channel, drawing a portion of the medicament from the reservoir through the nebulizer channel with the gas flow toward the patient cavity.

摘要: A respiratory tidal volume monitor and feedback device (RTVMFD) comprising a frame, a flow channel tube attached to the frame, a mass flow sensor disposed on the flow channel tube to detect air flow through the flow channel tube, a microcontroller unit attached to the frame and electrically connected to the mass flow sensor via a bus, the microcontroller unit having a system processor, a system memory, and a system clock, a visual display attached to a top of the frame, the visual display being electrically connected to the bus. According to a further embodiment, the RTVMFD further comprises an audio output attached to the frame and electrically connected to the bus.

摘要: A method for controlling operation of a CPAP apparatus. The apparatus has a blower, a patient interface, an air delivery conduit for delivering air from the blower to the patient interface, a sensor for determining the pressure in the patient interface, and a control mechanism that causes air to be delivered at a desired pressure to the patient interface and that detects transitions between inhalation and exhalation of a respiratory cycle of a patient in order to synchronise the blower output with the patient's efforts. In one form the CPAP apparatus provides pressure in accordance with a bi-level waveform with at least one characterising parameter of the waveform being automatically adjusted in accordance with indications of sleep disordered breathing. The indications of sleep disordered breathing can be one or more of snoring, apnea, hypopnea, and flow limitation.

摘要: A headgear for use with a patient interface for delivering a flow of breathable gas to a patient includes at least a strap adapted to position the patient interface in sealing engagement with the patient’s airways. The strap is constructed from an elastomer and a first side of the strap includes a first region on a portion of its surface that is textured to reduce friction with objects contacting the strap. A textured surface coating for a portion of an elastomer strap included in a headgear system is adapted to contact the skin of a patient, when in use, and the coating has a Ra value greater than zero. A vent for use with a patient interface for delivering a flow of breathable gas to a patient includes a plurality of rises and runs in a stepped arrangement; and a plurality of holes in the stepped arrangement for the venting of gas.

摘要: A cushion assembly for a patient interface includes an elastomeric seal-forming portion that includes a dome-shaped superior region and a saddle-shaped inferior region. The elastomeric sealing portion further includes a first support region extending from the saddle-shaped inferior region to the dome-shaped superior region, the first support region having a consistent elastomeric wall thickness that is greater than the elastomeric wall thickness of the dome-shaped superior region and the saddle-shaped inferior region. In addition, the seal-forming portion include a second support region adjacent the first support region that extends from the saddle-shaped inferior region to the dome-shaped superior region, the second support region being bounded by the first support region on a proximal side and having a distal side opposite the proximal side, the elastomeric wall thickness in the second support region increases from the distal side to the proximal side.
