    Abstract: A stormwater treatment device includes a tank defining an internal volume and having an inlet and an outlet, a rotatable screen unit mounted within the tank, the rotatable screen unit being barrel-shaped to define a through path with an inlet end and an outlet end. The rotatable screen unit includes a screen structure with a plurality of screening openings for allowing passage of at least some water from the through path outwardly through the screen structure while inhibiting passage of trash items through the screen structure such that trash items move along the through path from the inlet end to the outlet end. The rotatable screen unit includes a plurality of external drive paddles that rotate with the screen structure and that interact with water that has been screened by passing outwardly through the screen structure interacts with the external drive paddles to cause rotation of the rotatable screen unit.

    Abstract: A hydroclone (10) including a tank (12) with a fluid inlet (14), a filtered fluid outlet (16), an effluent outlet (18), a process fluid outlet (20) and a chamber (24) including an inner peripheral wall (22) centered about a central axis (X). The hydroclone further includes: i) a filter assembly (26) located within the chamber (24) which has an outer membrane surface (44) symmetrically located about the central axis (X) and encloses a filtrate chamber (46) that is in fluid communication with the filtered fluid outlet (16), and ii) a cleaning assembly (50) concentrically located and rotatably engaged about the membrane surface (44). A fluid pathway (28) extends from the fluid inlet (14) and defines a vortex region (25) between the inner peripheral wall (22) of the chamber (24) and the membrane surface (44) and is adapted for receiving incoming fluid. An inlet flow shield (58) is concentrically located about the filter assembly (26) and is adapted to block at least a portion of fluid flowing into the chamber (24) from the fluid inlet (14) from impacting the membrane surface (44).

    Abstract: Electricity free operating water purification installation with a membrane filter and a system of automatic backwashing of that filter characterised in that during the operation a fixed percentage is diversed from the outflow of filtered water and is stored in a container under progressive pressure, which to a certain maximum pressure is cut of from a feedback to the membrane filter, so that consequently after filtration of a certain volume of polluted water through the membrane filter the pressure in the container will exceed the maximum resistible pressure by the one way closure, which then will open so that the contents of the container will be forced back through the membrane filter under higher pressure than the original filtration pressure, whereby is provided in automatic closure after the container is emptied.
