摘要: To effectively notify other vehicles around own vehicle that LCA is canceled, provided is a vehicle control device configured to execute a lane change assist control for automatically changing a lane from a lane traveling on a own vehicle to a target lane adjacent to the lane. The vehicle control device is configured to cancel the lane change assist control, when a predetermined cancellation condition is satisfied during execution of the lane change assist control, and execute a cancel notification process for notifying an another vehicle of the fact that the lane change assist control has been canceled.

摘要: An external lighting apparatus delivers various messages through selective lighting by applying a lighting function to the exterior of a vehicle. The apparatus includes a light source module with a plurality of light sources and a light guide in which light emitted from the light sources is incident. The light guide reflects the incident light so that the light travels in different areas. The apparatus has a light cover composed of a plurality of transmission parts into which the light, travelling in different areas via the light guide, is incident. The light is emitted to different lighting areas through each transmission part to create a plurality of illumination images.

Arrays of pixels may be used to provide dynamically varying patterns of emitted light. A light source may produce light that is diffracted by an array of diffractive elements on a window. Mechanical and electrical shutters may obscure light sources, mirrors, and light-emitting components mounted on windows.

A sensor unit for detects headlamp status data and/or vehicle environment data. A control unit for controlling the light sources and/or light guides generates a predefined light distribution for the headlamp. The range of the headlamp can be adjusted on the basis of sensor signals from the sensor unit. The control unit contains a control element for the light sources and/or light guides for projecting a guide marking onto a road surface. The control unit contains a compensator that compensates for deviations in the guide marking on the basis of a sensor signal generated by the sensor unit.

A body incorporates a plurality of illuminating elements configured in a strip extending substantially the length thereof and communicating with a processor also integrated into the body and incorporating a motion control circuitry. A power supply operates the processor and illuminating elements. In response to a travel condition of the vehicle, the motion control circuitry outputs a signal to the processor which is representative of the vehicle movement, the processor in turn signals the illuminating elements to generate a visual output corresponding to the signal.

Suitably, the display (100) is arranged to be secured facing a window (12) of a motor vehicle (10) such that the designated set of motor vehicle data (110, 120, 130) is output through the window (12).
