Abstract: A shifting stopper latch assembly for a rocker arm can comprise a latch assembly housing, comprising a latch assembly oil feed, a piston bore, a stopper bore comprising a stopper opening, and a spring seat. A piston can be in the piston bore. A shifting stopper can be in the stopper bore and the shifting stopper can comprise a projection protruding out of the stopper opening. A return spring can be configured in the spring seat to bias the shifting stopper and the plunger away from the spring seat and towards the latch assembly oil feed. A valvetrain can comprise a rocker arm configured to actuate against a cam on a cam rail, and the rocker arm can comprise a latch surface configured to selectively engage and disengage the projection.

Abstract: A hydraulic capsule is provided for use in connection with an engine decompression brake or other variable valvetrain lifts. The hydraulic capsule comprises a main body having a latch pin, a first housing defined by a first outer diameter, an upper chamber defined by the first housing, and a first biasing member, and the latch pin is disposed inside the upper chamber and held by the first biasing member; a second body comprising a plunger, a second housing defined by a second outer diameter, a lower chamber defined by the second housing, and means for restricting the plunger at the bottom of the lower chamber, and the plunger is slidably moveable up and down inside the second housing; a biasing means, wherein the biasing means keeps the main body and the second body in contact; and a check assembly. The first outer diameter and the second diameter can be chosen according to manufacturing specifications and can be the same or different.

The control unit is configured to align the camshaft such that the first valve clearance compensation device is pressure-loaded in the idle state of the crankshaft by a plateau area assigned to the first cam to hold the first gas exchange valve in the first open position.

Abstract: An internal combustion engine for increasing the freedom of the layout of a rocker arm wherein the rocker arm is lighter. The internal combustion engine includes a camshaft having a first exhaust cam and a second exhaust cam, a first exhaust valve, and a second exhaust valve. The internal combustion engine further includes a first rocker arm for actuating the first exhaust valve to open and close, a second rocker arm for actuating the second exhaust valve to open and close, and a decompression mechanism for lifting the first rocker arm in a valve opening direction at the timing of a compression stroke initiated by the internal combustion engine. The first rocker arm and the second rocker arm are provided with an angular movement transmitter for transmitting a turning force produced by a decompression operator in the valve opening direction from the first rocker arm to the second rocker arm.

Abstract: A method for controlling a drivetrain of a motor vehicle is disclosed. Either a start mode for starting the reciprocating engine is activated via the driving vehicle wheel, or a coasting mode is activated for driving the reciprocating engine via the driving vehicle wheel. At least one volume-reducing stroke is executed that follows an intake stroke for at least one cylinder of the reciprocating engine with at least intermittently open cylinder. Alternately at least one volume-enlarging stroke is executed for at least one cylinder of the reciprocating engine, which is followed by a compression stroke of this cylinder, and at least one volume-reducing stroke of this cylinder, which follows an expansion stroke that follows the compression stroke, with a cylinder that is closed, if possible, in this operating mode.
