    摘要: The cylinder and piston of an injection pump which are severely corroded by molten aluminum or the like are made of a composite sintered body containing two or more of the compounds selected from the group consisting of boron carbide, titanium diboride, zirconium diboride and boron nitride, and having excellent corrosion resistant, wear resistant and heat shock properties and high mechanical strength. One or more of the compounds selected from the group consisting of borides of tantalum, molybdenum and tungsten; carbides of silicon, zirconium, tantalum, vanadium,chromium, tungsten and molybdenum; nitrides of titanium, aluminum, silicon and zirconium; and oxides of aluminum and beryllium may be incorporated.

    摘要: A liquid ring pump is provided that includes an annular housing having an inner surface forming a housing cavity. The annular housing is filled with an operating fluid during operation of the pump. The operating fluid forms an eccentric liquid ring in the annular housing during operation of the pump. A rotor is disposed in the housing cavity and includes a plurality of rotor blades. A shaft extends into the annular housing into the housing cavity. The plurality of rotor blades extend radially outward from the shaft toward the inner surface of the annular housing. A liner formed from a corrosion resistant material is disposed substantially flush with at least a portion of the annular housing inner surface opposite a plurality of rotor blade ends.

    摘要: A stator for a helicoidal down-hole drilling motor is formed with a through-hole, in addition to the main stator bore. The through-hole can be a straight hole extending parallel to the axis of the stator, or a hole of helical form, the helix extending about the axis of the stator. The through-hole can be used to accommodate a communications cable extending through the through-hole, and/or the through-hole can be connected to a fluid supply. The stator is produced from metal-based powder by producing an insert of accurate dimensions corresponding to the dimensions of a bore to be created in the finished stator, the bore having a length of at least 750 mm, supporting the insert within a mould cavity, filling the mould cavity with metal-based powder, subjecting the powder to isostatic pressing, and subsequently removing the material of the insert.

    摘要: The present invention recites a downhole motor and method of fabricating the same, wherein the method for fabricating a stator for a downhole motor includes the providing of a mandrel having an outer geometry that is complimentary to a desired inner geometry for the stator and the application of a flexible sleeve over the mandrel. Additionally, a stator tube having an interior surface is provided and a bonding agent is applied to the interior surface of the stator tube. The flexible sleeve and the mandrel are placed in the stator tube and a reinforcing material is introduced into the stator tube to fill space between the flexible sleeve and the stator tube. The reinforcing material is solidified and serves to bond the reinforcing material to the flexible sleeve and the stator tube.
