    摘要: A one-way see-through panel assembly enhanced by a retroreflective surface. The panel assembly has a first panel which has a dark light-absorbing surface and an opposite light reflecting surface. A retroreflective sheet is applied over the light reflecting surface to form an assembly. Light passageways, either perforations or a pattern of discrete transparent areas, are provided in the assembly. An image is imprinted on either the surface of the retroreflective panel or the light reflecting surface. The method includes mechanically perforating the assembly which is facilitated by the retroreflective sheet having non-glass reflective formations thereon.

    摘要: Optical arrangements are provided by which observers of flat containers or display boxes, such as compact disc (CD) jewel boxes, can be presented with different information about the contents of the box when looking at one of its surfaces from different angular perspectives. Advantageously, parallax effects are compensated where the size of the observable images and the viewing distance create undesirable visual artifacts. Horizontally and vertically oriented lenticulated panels are used in combination with interlaced images to convey the differently coded views without the need for physically manipulating such boxes as in the past to see equivalent information. Compliant inserts preferably provide the information content of the various views and are adapted for use with industry automated insert machinery while being self aligning with the lenticulated panels. These arrangements enhance the possibilities for displaying more and different kinds of information on a given box surface area compared with conventional approaches, and as such, enhance the prospects for increasing initial and multiple sales of CD products.

    摘要: An ultraviolet enhanced oil painting includes a plurality of sequentially disposed layers of oil based paints. At least one of the layers includes a transparent, ultraviolet enhanced, luminescent pigment mixed with the paint prior to layering. The ultraviolet enhanced paint layer produces a luminescent effect when subject to light. The painting exhibits one visible characteristic when subjected to ambient light conditions and exhibits at least one different visible characteristic when subjected to ultraviolet light. The ultraviolet enhanced paint layer can be disposed over the non-enhanced paint layer, the ultraviolet enhanced paint layer can be disposed between a backing media, such as a canvas and the non-enhanced paint layer, and the ultraviolet enhanced paint layer can be disposed between layers of the non-enhanced paint. A method of creating an ultraviolet enhanced oil painting includes sequentially disposing a plurality of layers of oil based paints onto a backing media such as a canvas. At least one of the layers includes a transparent, ultraviolet enhanced, luminescent pigment mixed with the paint prior to layering.

    摘要: An improved display product and method of making a display wherein a perforated panel is provided with layers of paint which are kept on the panel. Thus, a sign painter can have a wide latitude of designs which can be applied to see-through graphics. The resulting product can be opaque to an observer looking from one side of a display product yet the observer is able to see through the product from the other side of the product. A window to be provided with a display product is masked with masking paper and masking tape to cover the exposed parts. A perforated panel is cut to fit the window and attached over the masking paper and the masking tape. The perforated panel is painted with an image that is desired.
