    摘要: A high-efficiency, multi-stage centrifugal pump and method of assembly. The pump can include three pump stages with each one of the three pump stages including a front casing, a back casing, an impeller, and a bladed diffuser. The front casing and the back casing are removeably coupled around the impeller and the bladed diffuser. In the three-stage pump, the fluid can be pumped at a flow rate between about 300 liters per second and about 500 liters per second with an efficiency between about 86% and about 91%. The method includes separately casting, machining, and polishing each one of the front casing, the back casing, the impeller, and the bladed diffuser.

    摘要: A combinative standing fan includes a vertical shaft fan, a first, and a second tubular cover. The first and the second tubular cover respectively consist of a front half cover and a rear half cove. The front half covers of the two tubular covers are provided with plural wind inlets, and the rear half covers of them are provided with plural wind outlets. The first tubular cover has a guide groove in an upper end, and the second tubular cover has a bottom edge at the bottom to fit with the guide groove so the second tubular cover may rotate relative to the first one, with the guide groove and the bottom edge. When the shaft fan operates, air comes in the wind inlets of the two tubular covers and blows out of the wind outlets of them. The second tubular cover is rotatable to the first one, letting the fan blow winds in many different angles or directions simultaneously.

    摘要: The present invention is related to inflatable devices, and, more specifically, to inflatable devices in combination with rigid surfaces and a method for deflating an inflatable device. According to one embodiment of the present invention an inflatable device is provided. The inflatable device includes a substantially fluid impermeable bladder and an outlet in the bladder. The inflatable device also includes a first substantially rigid surface in contact with a first surface of the fluid impermeable bladder and a second substantially rigid surface in contact with the first surface of the fluid impermeable bladder. In this embodiment, the first and second substantially rigid surfaces collectively are in contact with more than half of the first surface of the fluid impermeable barrier. According to another embodiment of the present invention, a method of deflating an inflatable device is provided. This method includes positioning a first and a second substantially rigid surface in contact with a first surface of the inflatable device such that the first and second substantially rigid surfaces collectively are in contact with more than half of the first surface of the fluid impermeable barrier. The method further includes applying pressure to at least one of the first and second substantially rigid surfaces to force air out of the bladder. According to another embodiment of the present invention, an inflatable device is provided. The inflatable device includes a substantially fluid-impermeable bladder, an outlet disposed within the bladder, a covering layer comprising an opening and an anchor positioned proximate to the outlet and connected to the bladder and the covering layer.

    摘要: Difficulties in adapting centrifugal pumps for use as fuel pumps for turbine powered aircraft are avoided in a system including a centrifugal volute pump (22) on a common shaft (18) with a regenerative pump (24). A pressure responsive throttling valve (46) is connected to the inlet (50) of the regenerative pump (24) so as to cause the regenerative pump (24) to provide fuel at a desired, substantially constant pressure while a check valve (80) is connected to the outlet (72) of the centrifugal volute pump (22) to allow flow from the volute (72) but not the reverse. The outlet side of the check valve (80) can also be selectively connected to the outlet (84) of the regenerative pump (24) so that when the pumps are rotating relatively slowly, the regenerative pump (24) will pump fuel at the desired, substantially constant pressure and, as rotational speed increases, the check valve (80) will open when the centrifugal volute pump (22) is pumping fuel at or about the desired substantially constant pressure.

    摘要: A turbopump system for pumping two separate fluids is disclosed having a r of concentric turbine rotors located within a turbine casing, each directly connected to a pump impeller. The centrifugal pumps, which may be located on opposite sides of the turbine casing are separately connected to their respective fluids such that the two fluids may be pumped simultaneously. A propellant fluid is directed through a generally annular space defined between the concentric turbine rotors to rotate them in opposite directions. Turbine blades attached to each of the turbine rotors extend into this annular space in order to drive the turbine rotors. The pitches of the turbine blades are such that the rotors are driven in opposite directions and one of the turbine rotors may be driven at a different speed than the other.
