Abstract: The present disclosure relates to managing services by a managed service provider (MSP) in a cloud based infrastructure. A control plane of the MSP is established in a first tenancy, and a first access plane of the MSP is established in a second tenancy of a cloud environment. The control plane is configured to manage a plurality of services offered by the MSP to a first host machine included in the second tenancy. A first request is transmitted from the control plane to the first access plane, where the first request is forwarded by the first access plane to the first host machine, and corresponds to a service utilized by the first host machine and managed by the control plane of the MSP. In response to the first request being validated, a first state of the first host machine is modified in the second tenancy based on the first request.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a secure object transfer system is described. The system features a virtual private cloud network (VPC) and a controller. The VPC includes a plurality of gateways and a network load balancer, which configured to conduct a load balancing scheme on access messages from computing devices deployed within an on-premises network to direct the access memory to one of the plurality of gateways for storage or retrieval of an object from a cloud-based storage element. Each gateway includes Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) filtering logic to restrict access of the computing devices to certain cloud-based storage elements in accordance with a security policy. The controller is configured to maintain and update the security policy utilized by each gateway of the plurality of gateways.

Abstract: The described technology is directed towards obtaining and returning time offset data instead of current data in response to a data request. The time offset data may be limited to privileged clients only, and only provided thereto when desired, using a time offset value set by the client, for example. For example, a privileged user may request time offset data corresponding to a future time so as to preview how the data may be presented at a future time. Time offset data may be used by a system entity to fill a cache, e.g., as secondary cached data that may be used once primary cached data expires.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for adjusting capacity in a networking environment. A networking system comprising clients, servers, load balancers, and/or other devices may expand and contract network capacity as needed. When expanding network capacity, load balancers may instruct client devices to connect to servers that are part of the expanded network. When network capacity is reduced, a server and/or a load balancer my instruct client devices to close a connection with a first server and establish a connection with a second server. Client devices may seamlessly begin using the connection with a second server without having to wait for a connection timeout with the first server.

Abstract: In some aspects, a server device may identify one or more services of a cloud infrastructure via a management layer. The server device may determine service information and configuration information for the one or more services. The server device may generate an environment model based at least in part on the service information and the configuration information, the environment model providing information on relationship between one or more components of the cloud infrastructure. The server device may determine one or more threats to the one or more services based at least in part on analyzing the environment model and accessing a threat information database. The server device may generate a threat model that lists the one or more threats to the one or more services. The server device may generate one or more recommendations for the cloud infrastructure based at least on the threat model.

Abstract: Embodiments herein describe a CDN where anycast routing is used to identify a load balancer for selecting a cache in the CDN to use to deliver a requested object to a user. In one embodiment, the user performs a DNS lookup to identify an anycast IP address for a plurality of load balancers in the CDN. The user can then initiate anycast routing using the anycast IP address to automatically identify a load balancer. Once the identified balancer selects the cache, the load balancer can close the anycast connection with the user device and use a redirect to provide the user device with a unicast path to the selected cache. The user device can then establish a unicast connection with the cache to retrieve (e.g., stream) the object.

Abstract: A computing cluster can receive a request to perform a workload from a client. The request can include a service discovery agent. If the request is authenticated and permitted on the computing cluster, the service discovery agent is executed. Execution of the service discovery agent can lead to discovery of resource capabilities of the cluster and selection of the appropriate resource based on performance requirements. The selected resource can be deployed for execution of the workload.

Abstract: A system may include a processing device and a memory storing instructions that, when executed by the processing device, causes the processing device to discover one or more endpoints of a service in view of a name that is unique to the service. In response to receiving a request to resolve the name from a client, the processing device may obtain the one or more endpoints of that service in view of the name. The processing device may filter the one or more endpoints, in view of the name and return the one or more endpoints which are filtered, to the client.

Abstract: Implementations are described herein for commissioning a distributed control node (DCN) to a process automation network. In various implementations, one or more messages transmitted on the process automation network by the DCN announcing that the DCN has joined the process automation network may be detected. Based on the one or more messages, one or more operational technology (OT) capabilities of the DCN may be determined. Based on the one or more OT capabilities, the DCN may be commissioned to the process automation network, e.g., by configuring the DCN to cooperate with one or more other process automation nodes on the process automation network to implement an at least partially automated process.
