Abstract:
Methods, compositions and articles of manufacture for assaying a sample for a target polynucleotide are provided. A sample suspected of containing the target polynucleotide is contacted with a polycationic multichromophore and a sensor PBP that can bind to the target polynucleotide. The sensor PBP comprises a signaling chromophore to absorb energy from the excited multichromophore and emit light in the presence of the target polynucleotide. The methods can be used in multiplex form. Kits comprising reagents for performing such methods are also provided.
Abstract:
Miniature catheter-based ultrasound transducers are used to image peritracheal or bronchial structures including masses, lymph nodes, and vessels. Most preferably, a 6.2 French catheter containing either a 12.5 or 20 MHz ultrasound transducer coupled with an ultrasound unit is passed through the working channel of a flexible bronchoscope and directed to the region of interest. Patients with pulmonary masses detected by X-ray or computed tomography were studied and it was found that characteristic ultrasound patterns of masses, lymph nodes and blood vessels could be distinguished. Thus, catheter-based ultrasound transducers are useful to evaluate a variety of bronchopulmonary abnormalities. This approach was found to be valuable in the selection of the appropriate site for biopsy. In accordance with the present invention, an improved ultrasound catheter that incorporates a biopsy brush is therefore disclosed.

The present invention discloses a fitness equipment comprising frame assembly, drive assembly, slide trolley and a smith system. Two base frames set opposite to each other are connected by connecting rod, and the first column and the second column are set in the vertical direction of the connecting rod which are connected by gantry frame, and the first cross beam and the second cross beam are set vertically on the connecting rod and the gantry frame, respectively, and the third column is set between them, thus forming the structure of fitness equipment, and pulley assembly is cooperated with the first wire rope, the second wire rope, and the third wire rope so that it can drive the slide car moves, realizing the alignment from the middle, which can reduce friction and increase the service life of the multifunctional fitness equipment when in use.

Flavonoid compounds may be prepared that are selective for certain cell organelles, and may be used as biological imaging agents. Organelles that may be imaged with flavonoid compounds include mitochondria and lysosomes. Advantageously, the flavonoids show specificity to certain organelles and may exhibit a florescence “turn-on” mechanism, where the flavonoids that have target an organelle exhibit a florescence response when excited.

The present disclosure is generally related to antibodies that bind specifically to glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) cells. In particular, the present disclosure provides compositions comprising human single chain or full-length antibodies that bind tumor cells. Additionally the present disclosure provides methods of using the anti-GBM antibodies.

A recirculation fan includes a casing, a covering member, and a fan assembly. The casing has a base. The covering member is coupled with the casing to define an accommodation space. The fan assembly is disposed within the accommodation space, and includes a first impeller, a second impeller, a motor, and a plurality of magnetic elements. The second impeller is located beside the first impeller. The motor is fixed on the base of the casing and connected with the first impeller for driving rotation of the first impeller. The magnetic elements are arranged between the first impeller and the second impeller. A wind force generated by the first impeller and a magnetic torque resulted from a magnetic vortex of the magnetic elements cause contactless rotation of the second impeller.

Systems, methods, and apparatus are provided for vulnerability signature based Network Intrusion Detection and/or Prevention which achieves high throughput comparable to that of the state-of-the-art regex-based systems while offering improved accuracy. A candidate selection algorithm efficiently matches thousands of vulnerability signatures simultaneously using a small amount of memory. A parsing transition state machine achieves fast protocol parsing. Certain examples provide a computer-implemented method for network intrusion detection. The method includes capturing a data message and invoking a protocol parser to parse the data message. The method also includes matching the parsed data message against a plurality of vulnerability signatures in parallel using a candidate selection algorithm and detecting an unwanted network intrusion based on an outcome of the matching.
