Abstract:
A system for displaying images includes a liquid crystal display panel. The liquid crystal display panel comprises a color filter substrate having a light shielding layer on a peripheral area and a common electrode on a display area and the peripheral area, and an array substrate having a pixel electrode on the display area and a separate and independent electrode with a fixed voltage on the peripheral area. The liquid crystal display panel further comprises a liquid crystal layer between the color filter substrate and the array substrate.
Abstract:
An array substrate including a substrate, multiple pixels arranged in an array on the substrate, and an alignment film disposed on the pixels is provided. The pixel includes a reflective region, a transmissive region, and a transition region formed between the reflective region and the transmissive region, wherein an included angle between at least one side of the transition region and a rubbing direction of the alignment film is smaller than or equal to 30 degree. In addition, a transflective LCD including the array substrate as described above and a fabricating method of an array substrate is further provided.
Abstract:
A roller apparatus for a computer input device, such as a mouse, that has a sturdier support than prior art supports. A scrolling wheel carriage is supported by a PCB for greater stability. An open hook support for the hinge of a wheel carriage angles outward below a retaining point for the hinge. This combines with the hinge being hollowed out, so that upward forces due to variations in PCB thickness cause the hinge to compress while retained by the hook support. The design also provides long side arms for activating microswitches for lateral scrolling, and stoppers for preventing forward and backward slippage.
Abstract:
A filament assembly for a twinkling bulb has first and second magnesium-plated filaments, a glass bead, a fuse and a tungsten filament. The second magnesium-plated filament is parallel to the first magnesium-plated filament and has a stop section and a flexible metal tongue. The stop section is formed on the second magnesium-plated filament. The flexible metal tongue is mounted on the second magnesium-plated filament above the stop section. When the twinkling bulb is electrified, the flexible metal tongue touches the first magnesium-plated filament intermittently and causes the twinkling bulb to twinkle.
Abstract:
A semiconductor doping process uses hydrogen in a diffusion furnace to prevent platinum/gold atoms from gathering around a defect area of the semiconductor wafer. Platinum/gold atom aggregation caused by a micro defect in the semiconductor wafer is prevented in order to stabilize the semiconductor doping process and to improve reverse recover time (TRR) to further improve yield rate.
Abstract:
A multi-channel wireless remote control system, which has N (an integer greater than one) wireless receiving devices and N (an integer greater than one) wireless transmitting devices. The N wireless transmitting devices corresponds to the N wireless receiving devices. The N wireless transmitting devices transmit frames to the respective N wireless receiving devices by a wireless carrier. Each frame contains a start bit, a device identification field to assign a receiving device, and a data field. Accordingly, i-th (i=1 to N) wireless transmitting device uses the device identification field to assign one of the receiving devices for receiving and sends data signal to the receiving device once every Tdi time.
Abstract:
The multifunctional exercise machine includes a pedal, handle and swivel rod linked to a pivoting seat by a cable and pulley system. The handle is pivotally fastened to a suspension frame rod which is, in turn, pivotally fastened to the frame of the machine. The pedal is pivotally mounted to the frame and the swivel rod is pivotally mounted to the pivoting seat. A cable is fastened at one end to the handle, extends in turn though pulleys on the suspension frame rod, seat suspension rod, pedal and seat suspension rod, again, and is fastened at the other end to the swivel rod. The user faces forward to use the pedal and rearward to use the swivel rod. Movement of the pedal, handle or swivel rod is resisted by the weight of the user on the seat. The machine is foldable to facilitate storage and shipping.
Abstract:
An optical scanner has focusing elements rotatable about a fixed axis. The elements are each mounted on a flexible radially extending suspension arm. A magnet is carried by each arm and passes a coil extending along the path of the elements. Current to the coil is controlled to induce movement of the arm in a direction parallel to the axis of rotation and effect focusing of the elements.
Abstract:
An optical scanner has a light distributor rotating about an axis spaced from but parallel to the optical axis of at light source. Lenses are mounted on a carrier that rotates about the optical axis. The distributor and carrier rotate a the same angular velocity and are arranged so that the lens and associated distributor move across the media at the same time. By rotating the lens about the optical axis, the scanning beam remains in the central zone of the lens as it passes across the media.
Abstract:
A display apparatus including a substrate, a gate line, first and second driving transistors, and a color filter layer is provided. The substrate has first and second light emitting regions and a circuit region. The first light emitting region is disposed to be adjacent to the second light emitting region, and the circuit region is disposed to be adjacent to the first and second light emitting regions. The gate line is disposed in the circuit region and extends along a direction. The first and second driving transistors are respectively disposed in the circuit region, have a channel region, and corresponds to the first and second light emitting regions. The color filter layer has a main portion in the first light emitting region and an extending portion in the circuit region and connected to the main portion. The extending portion extends along the direction and overlaps the channel regions.
