Abstract:
The present invention relates to the formation of conjugates (e.g., protein-protein dimers) using a-halo-acetophenones, benzylic halides, quinones, and related compounds as a conjugating system. The invention also features compositions that include the conjugates described herein, as well as uses of these conjugates in methods of medical treatment.
Abstract:
Content-based analysis is performed on multimedia content prior to encoding the multimedia content in the rendering chain of processing. A content-based index stream is generated based on the content-based analysis and the content-based index stream is embedded in the multimedia file during rendering. The content-based index stream can be used to generate a content-based searchable index when necessary.
Abstract:
A locking screw for connecting two or more articles together is provided. The screw includes an externally threaded shaft, a head, and an elastic member. The head defines a chamber in which a spiral groove is defined. The shaft extends from the bottom of the chamber; and the elastic member is arranged around the shaft and one end of the elastic member is received in the spiral groove of the chamber and another end abuts against an article. The elastic member can be rotated around the longitudinal axis of the shaft, to change the length of the elastic member, so that enough tension is created to ensure locking the screw in place and prevent any rotation, thus maintain a tight engagement among the articles.

Abstract:
Systems, methods, and computer media for efficiently processing user log data are provided. A received user log data analysis request specifies: target user log features that identify users in a target user group, analysis user log features that identify data associated with the users in the target user group, and an analysis to perform on the identified data associated with the users in the target user group. Occurrences of specified features are extracted from user logs and stored. Users associated with an occurrence of each of the extracted and stored target user log features are identified as users in the target user group. Occurrences of the analysis user log features that are associated with a user in the target user group are extracted and reformatted for the analysis specified in the analysis request.
Abstract:
A method for indicating storage capacity is applied in a storage device. The storage device includes a main storage unit, a capacity indicator, a driver, and a secondary storage unit. The second storage unit stores a preset storage capacity value and a drive table recording relationship between storage capacity difference ranges and rotation angles of the driver. The method includes: periodically obtaining a storage capacity value from a computer connected to the storage device; computing a difference between the obtained storage capacity value and the preset storage capacity value; determining the storage capacity difference range the difference falls within and the rotation angle the determined storage capacity difference range corresponds to in the drive table; and controlling the driver to rotate the determined rotation angle to drive the capacity indicator to indicate the obtained storage capacity value. A related storage device is also provided.
Abstract:
An optical sensing device includes a shell, at least one light emitting member, a rotating type shading assembly and at least one optical sensing member. The shell is formed with a black-body condition space having a light emitting chamber, a shading chamber and at least one optical sensing chamber. The light emitting member projects a light beam. The rotating type shading assembly includes a pivot and a shading member. The shading member is pivotally connected to the pivot in the shading chamber, and has a weight center offset from the pivot center. When the optical sensing device is tilted, the shading member is rotated to make the weight center located in a lowering azimuth with respect to the pivot. The optical sensing member is arranged in the optical sensing chamber, and senses the light beam to accordingly send out a sensing signal.
Abstract:
An optical sensing device includes a shell, a partition structure, a pivot, a shading member, at least one light emitting member and at least one optical sensing member. The shell is formed with a black-body condition space having an arrangement chamber and a shading chamber adjacent to and communicated with the arrangement chamber. The partition structure partitions the arrangement chamber into a light emitting chamber and at least one optical sensing chamber. The pivot is set in the shading chamber. The shading member is located in the shading chamber and pivotally connected to the pivot. When the optical sensing device is tilted, the shading member is rotated in accordance with a tilting azimuth. The light emitting member is located in the light emitting chamber and projects a light beam The optical sensing member is located in the optical sensing chamber and senses the light beam.
Abstract:
A generalized discriminative training framework for reconciling the training and evaluation objectives for document similarity is provided. Prior information about document relations and non-relations, are used to discriminatively train an ensemble of document similarity classification models. This result is a model set that can be used to compute similarity between seen documents in the training sets and new documents. The measure of similarity forms the basis of recommending documents to a user as well as being able to obtain metadata information such as keywords and tags for new documents not having such information.
