Abstract:
The invention concerns a method for optimizing the Transport Format Combination (TFC) selection procedure processed by a user equipment UE in an uplink communication in a mobile telecommunication network, wherein the TFC procedure during the current TTI (Time Transport Interval) at instant t+1 is performed in function of: a—the remaining power (2) measured after the TFC procedure performed in the past TTI at instant t, b—the power (4) for transmitting the E-DCH channels in the past TTI at instant t, and, c—a minimum specified power (6) for transmitting the E-DCH channels in the next TTI.
Abstract:
There is a method for enhancing the recovery of oil from a reservoir. The method has the step of a) introducing a flooding fluid into the reservoir and b) extracting the oil through a wellbore at a location different than the point of introduction of the flooding fluid into the reservoir. The flooding fluid has water and an amount of one or more non-polymeric viscoelastic surfactants sufficient to provide an interfacial surface tension of about 1 mNm or less and a viscosity of about 10 cps or more. The one or more surfactants is selected from the group of one or more cationic surfactants, one or more zwitterionic surfactants, one or more amphoteric surfactants, one or more anionic surfactants, and combinations thereof.
Abstract:
The invention relates to thermoplastic compositions comprising a thermoplastic polyamide matrix and at least one additive which modifies the interaction between the matrix and an agent. The purpose of the invention is to provide an additive which modifies the interaction between a copolyamide-type thermoplastic copolyamide matrix and at least one agent. The aforementioned additive, which comprises at least one hyperbranched functionalised polymer, is not compatible with the matrix. Moreover, said additive can be used for the controlled modification of the interaction between the thermoplastic copolyamide and an internal or external chemical agent. Preferably, the composition does not contain hyperbranched polymers which produce therein a reduction in the molar mass of matrix M which is greater than or equal to 7% in relation to a sample composition which comprises matrix M but does not contain hyperbranched polymer additive(s). Said mass measurement is taken preferably using a determined protocol P. The invention is suitable for use in moulding, injection moulding, injection/blow moulding, extrusion/blow moulding, extrusion or spinning.
Abstract:
A soil-repellent treatment method for articles based on woven cotton, wherein an amphiphilic soil-repellent agent soluble or dispersible in the treatment medium is deposited on the article during one or more washing, rinsing and/or softening or dying steps, is disclosed. Said soil-repellent agent comprises at least one unit with a function (FAd) capable of being absorbed onto the surface of the cotton by electrostatic interaction; and at least one hydrophobic unit (MH) capayble of configuring said agent at the cotton/water interface. A soil-repellent agent comprising at least one unit with a cationic function (MC) capable of being absorbed onto the surface of the cotton, and the counter-ion thereof, as well as at least one hydrophobic unit (MH) containing at least four carbon atom chemically bonded to the unit having said cationic function (MC) via an oligomeric, polymeric or copolymeric vinyl alcohol chain, is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A composition and method for the treatment and prevention of plaque accumulation on teeth wherein there is administered to the oral cavity an oral composition comprising an orally acceptable aqueous vehicle containing an effective therapeutic amount of a noncationic antibacterial agent and an acrylic polymer/polyoxyalkylene copolymer formed from about 80 to about 90% by weight of the acrylic polymer and about 5 to about 20% by weight of the polyoxyalkylene having a molecular weight greater than 4,000 and less than 20,000 the antibacterial compound exhibiting increased antiplaque activity on dental tissue.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an optimized lubricating composition including, in useful amount, an ester and a fatty acid, and optionally, the invention also relates to a well fluid including the lubricating composition according to the invention and the use of the composition for controlling the lubricity of a water-base fluid.
Abstract:
Colloidal products are described which contain an element selected from sulphur, phosphorus and possibly boron, as well as an element chosen from metal alkalis, alkaline earth metals and zinc, micellized in at least one detergent agent. They can be obtained in micelle form by reaction of at least one mineral acid or organic acid, containing sulphur and/or phosphorus and possibly an acid containing boron, these acids being directly introduced or formed in situ with at least one basic derivative containing a alkali metal and/or an alkaline earth metal and/or zinc, in the presence of at least one surface active agent. The colloidal products can be used as wear resistance and extreme pressure additives for lubricants.
