    Abstract: Disclosed herein is a particle separation apparatus. The particle separation apparatus includes: a bioreactor; a first flow path through which the sludge is discharged from the bioreactor; a first filter including a first mesh separating the granular microorganisms contained in the sludge according to size; a second flow path into which an effluent having passed through the first filter flows; a third flow path connected to the second flow path to discharge the effluent outside; a fourth flow path connected to one side of the second flow path and mounted on a surface of the first filter connected to a surface of the first filter with the second flow path mounted thereon; a fifth flow path through which the effluent having been discharged from the fourth flow path and passed through the first filter flows into the bioreactor; and a first pump creating a flow of the effluent.

    Abstract: Provided is a respiratory muscle strengthening device, in which an inhalation start signal is generated correspondingly at an inhalation start time when a patient inhales air or an exhalation start signal is generated correspondingly at an exhalation start time when the patient exhales air, an electric signal according to the inhalation start signal or the exhalation start signal is transmitted to an electric muscle stimulator via a communication unit, a muscle pad installed on respiratory muscles of the patient enables smooth breathing motion by stimulating the respiratory muscles based on a signal transmitted from the electric muscle stimulator, and a receptor pad is provided to the respiratory muscles such that an alarm of determining whether electric stimulation is normally applied via the state of the respiratory muscles detected through the receptor pad is output, thereby securing reliability of a device.

    Abstract: A method for signal modulation in a filter bank multi-carrier system is provided. A modulation method according to one embodiment of the present disclosure includes generating a plurality of different candidate transmission signals by modulating a complex symbol vector including a plurality of complex symbols in a discrete Fourier transform (DFT) spread filter bank multi-carrier (FBMC)/offset quadrature amplitude modulation (OQAM) scheme and selecting a candidate transmission signal having a lowest peak power or peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) as a transmission signal, wherein the generating of the plurality of candidate transmission signals comprises applying a different phase offset to the complex symbol vector according to a candidate transmission signal to be generated.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method for filter bank multi-carrier signal modulation with a low peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) in a multiple antenna system are disclosed. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, in a multiple antenna transmission method, after a plurality of transmission candidate signals, which are modulated for each antenna using discrete Fourier transform (DFT) spread filter bank multi-carrier and offset quadrature amplitude modulation (FBMC/OQAM) techniques and are capable of obtaining a single carrier effect, are generated, a transmission candidate signal with a low PAPR can be selected and transmitted, and thus peak-to-average power ratio performance can be effectively improved, and interference between subcarriers can be eliminated by applying an Alamouti coding manner.
