Abstract:
An error correcting apparatus including a syndrome calculator for calculating syndromes from input data added with an error correction code, a data memory which is connected in parallel with the syndrome calculator for storing the input data, a syndrome memory to store syndromes calculated by the syndrome calculator, and an error correction processor for executing error correction of the data in the data memory by using the syndromes stored in the syndrome memory. The error correction code is provided in both first and second directions when data is two-dimensionally arranged, and the error correction processor obtains values in which the result of an arithmetic operation for error correction in at least one of the first and second directions is added to syndromes in the other direction. An error position within the input data is detected and corrected again on the basis of the values.
Abstract:
A digital information restoring device is arranged to detect time between level transition points of a digital signal which indicates digital information by means of variations in its period, output the resultant period data, calculate an average value of at least two period data among the output period data, and compare the average value with the aforesaid period data, and restore the digital information. The digital information restoring device is, therefore, capable of restoring the digital information at a high speed without using a high-speed PLL circuit or the like. The digital information restoring device may also be arranged to perform time-axis expansion of only part of the received period data, and input the resultant period data to a computing circuit to restore the digital information.
Abstract:
A signal recording apparatus for recording a TV signal in which an audio signal such as a MUSE signal and a video signal are multiplexed in a time sharing manner in units of a given period of time, is arranged to code these video and audio signals alike, to dispersively allocate a discretely separated audio signal within the video signal, to provide symbols other than the symbols of the audio and video signals within each synchronizing block for the purpose of permitting the use of other video signal recording apparatuses. The arrangement permits simplification and high-quality of the apparatus for recording the signals of this kind and thus contributes to the popularization of the apparatus.
Abstract:
An information signal recording apparatus, which includes a pilot signal generator for generating a tracking control pilot signal having a predetermined frequency, a generator for generating an information signal to be recorded, and a recorder for recording the pilot signal on a first area of a recording track, and for recording the information signal on a second area of the recording track. A component of the predetermined frequency of the pilot signal is made to be smaller in a leading portion and in an ending portion of the first area than in other portions of the first area.
Abstract:
A digital information signal recording apparatus has a first mode in which a digital information signal of one channel is recorded on a recording medium at a given bit rate and a second mode in which digital information signals of n channels (n: an integer which is at least 2) are simultaneously recorded on the recording medium at a bit rate which is 1/n of the given bit rate.
Abstract:
A data transmission system operative to transmit data with a reduced low band frequency component includes facility for processing a predetermined quantity of information data, such as a code word, for generating error detecting-correcting data, and for dispersing the latter data in the former data. In one practice for effecting the dispersion, the system divides the information data and the error detecting-correcting data into respective groupings, and disperses the latter grouping into the former grouping. The resulting signal is transmitted.
Abstract:
In a method of driving a liquid crystal panel using one horizontal period (1H) as a reversal period, the liquid crystal panel using a TFT as a switching element for driving the panel in units of divided blocks and comprising the block division TFT's (B-TFT), a matrix circuit for driving each block in time division, and a TFT active matrix panel; each block of the B-TFT's is further divided into two half-blocks and a control signal shifted in phase between adjacent two half-blocks is applied to time-divisionally drive the liquid crystal panel at superposed timings. High intensity lines produced at the intersection of blocks due to the charge sharing effect are eliminated to thereby enable a high quality image to be produced.
Abstract:
The specification and drawings relate to liquid crystal matrix display panel which is used to display a television image or the like and disclose the technology in which: the pixels on a matrix are divided into at least two groups of pixels, in particular, two right and left pixel groups; these pixel groups are respectively independently driven within one horizontal scanning interval; thereby widening the width of the vertical scanning signal and allowing the image signal to be sufficiently transferred to the liquid crystal cells; and thereby allowing a high-quality image to be displayed without causing a lack of luminance or a variation in luminance in association with the realization of a large area and a fine pitch of the display panel.
Abstract:
A matrix-type display panel comprises a display panel having a plurality of scanning lines, a plurality of data lines and a plurality of picture elements disposed at each intersection of the scanning lines and data lines, and analog switching elements for sampling-and-holding information signals which are applied to the data lines in synchronism with scanning signals applied to the scanning lines. The matrix-type display panel is driven by a driving method comprising: applying such switching pulses to the analog switching elements that time-serial pulses among them and shifted in phase from each other and overlap each other in a same duration.
