Abstract: A method and system for decoding low density parity check (“LDPC”) codes. An LDPC code decoder includes LDPC decoding circuitry comprising a Q message generator and a P sum adder array. The Q message generator combines an R message from a previous iteration with a P message to produce a Q message. The P sum adder array adds the P message to a difference of an R message from a current iteration and the R message from the previous iteration to produce an updated P message.

Abstract: A therapeutic method for catalytically forming persulfide and/or polysulfide from hydrogen sulfide in vitro and in vivo using endogenously or exogenously released hydrogen sulfide is disclosed. That method comprises contacting cells in need including those under oxidative stress, traumatic brain injury (TBI) and hypoxia, or have an excess of hydrogen sulfide or deficiency of protein persulfidation with oxidized carbon nanoparticulate material in which the particles contain a plurality of carbonyl, hydroxyl and carboxyl substituents. Oxidized carbon nanoparticulate (OCN) material can be prepared from any of a variety of sources of which activated charcoal is preferred. A water-dispersible OCN material is described that does not need added hydrophilic polymers to provide dispersibility for at least 7 days at a concentration of about 1-5 mg/mL. These OCN materials also have a UV absorbance maximum in water of about 220 nm and pass through a 0.22 µm pore PES membrane.

Abstract: Endolysosomal targeting conjugates that are engineered to deliver cargo molecules such as cytotoxic drugs or imaging labels with improved efficiency to late endosomes and/or lysosomes in target cells such as tumor cells are described. The endolysosomal targeting conjugate includes a targeting component and a cargo component. The targeting component is configured to bind to a cell surface molecule of a target cell and the cargo component includes a cargo molecule. The targeting component and the cargo component may be fused by a covalent bond or associated by a non-covalent bond. The targeting component may bind to the cell surface molecule or the cargo component with higher affinity in the extracellular space than in an endolysosomal compartment of the target cell.
