Abstract:
A device capable of indicating access modes for an accessible memory card comprises an indicator and an interface electrically connected to a controller of the accessible memory card and to the indicator. The indicator is driven by the interface to show users that the accessible memory card is performing an access operation when the controller gives commands to the accessible memory card.

Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for synthesizing images from two or more existing images are described. The described embodiment makes use of an illumination model as a mathematical model to combine the images. A first of the images is utilized as an object color or color source (i.e. the foreground) for a resultant image that is to be formed. A second of the images (utilized as the background or texture) is utilized as a perturbation source. In accordance with the described embodiment, the first image is represented by a plane that has a plurality of surface normal vectors. Aspects of the second image are utilized to perturb or adjust the surface normal vectors of the plane that represents the first image. Perturbation occurs, in the described embodiment, by determining individual intensity values for corresponding pixels of the second image. The intensity values are mapped to corresponding angular displacement values. The angular displacement values are used to angularly adjust or deviate the surface normal vectors for corresponding image pixels of the plane that represents the first image. This yields a virtual surface whose normal vectors are not fully specified, but constrained only by the angles between the original surface normal vectors and the perturbed normal vectors. In the described embodiment, after some assumptions concerning the viewing and lighting source direction, an illumination model is then applied to the virtual surface to yield a resultant synthesized image.
Abstract:
The invention provides a base station for connection of a low-power and a high-power radio telephone network. The high-power radio telephone network comprises a first and a second terminal, while the low-power radio telephone network comprises a third terminal. The first terminal has a first interface for communication with an external device. The base station, which operates for the low-power radio telephone network, has a second interface compatible to the first interface, and communicates with the first terminal of the high-power radio telephone network through the connection of the first and second interface. Therefore, the third terminal of the low-power radio telephone network communicates with the second terminal of the high-power radio telephone network under the operation of the first terminal and the base station.
Abstract:
The present invention relates in general to a data processing system (10), and more particularly to a method and apparatus for providing instruction pipe (106) status information, including fullness information, external to data processing system (10). In one embodiment, an IPIPE2 integrated circuit terminal (15) is used to serially provide a pipe depth value indicating the fullness of the instruction pipe (106). The serial protocol used with the IPIPE2 (15) terminal includes a start bit, a fetch pointer value, and a plurality of idle bits. In one embodiment, IPIPE0 (13) and IPIPE1 (14) integrated circuit terminals may indicate loading and unloading of instruction pipe (106) and may stop toggling when central processing unit (102) is in a loop mode.
Abstract:
A voltage generator includes a first transistor, a second transistor, an operational amplifier, a capacitor, a third transistor, a fourth transistor and a first resistor. The operational amplifier includes a first terminal coupled to a second terminal of the first transistor, and a second terminal coupled to a second terminal of the second transistor. The capacitor is coupled between an output terminal of the operational amplifier and a ground terminal. The third transistor is coupled to the first transistor and the output terminal of the operational amplifier. The fourth transistor is coupled to the second transistor, the output terminal of the operational amplifier and the ground terminal. The first resistor is utilized for generating a complementary to absolute temperature voltage according to a voltage difference between a gate-source voltage of the third transistor and a gate-source voltage of the fourth transistor.

Abstract:
A method includes bonding a first bond layer to a second bond layer through eutectic bonding. The step of bonding includes heating the first bond layer and the second bond layer to a temperature higher than a eutectic temperature of the first bond layer and the second bond layer, and performing a pumping cycle. The pumping cycle includes applying a first force to press the first bond layer and the second bond layer against each other. After the step of applying the first force, a second force lower than the first force is applied to press the first bond layer and the second bond layer against each other. After the step of applying the second force, a third force higher than the second force is applied to press the first bond layer and the second bond layer against each other.
