摘要: The present invention is intended to permit both real-time display of a picture represented by a non-compressed video signal on a television and display of a picture represented by a compressed video signal at any desired time by simultaneously transmitting the compressed video signal and non-compressed video signal via one interface. An STB packetizes a compressed video signal, and multiplexes the compressed video signal and a blanking signal combined with a non-compressed video signal. Thus, both the video signals are transmitted simultaneously. A picture represented by the non-compressed video signal is displayed on a television in real time. The compressed video signal is stored in a storage medium incorporated in the television, read at any user's desired time, and decoded so that a picture represented by the compressed video signal can be viewed at the user's desired time.

摘要: Disclosed is a liquid absorbent sheet for absorbing and retaining liquid. The liquid absorbent sheet is a single nonwoven fabric in which a liquid permeable layer and a liquid retaining layer are inseparably but distinguishably formed. The liquid permeable layer is exposed externally on one side of the nonwoven fabric. The liquid retaining layer lies beneath the liquid permeable layer for absorbing and retaining liquid. The liquid permeable layer contains at least 70% synthetic resin fibers by weight. The liquid retaining layer contains at least 70% cellulosic fibers by weight. Constituent fibers of the nonwoven fabric are bonded together by an adhesive force of a binder and/or a bonding force caused by fusion of the synthetic resin fibers.

摘要: An actuator is used for controlling an intake valve lift of an automotive engine. A control shaft is joined with a transmission device on its one end side, and is joined with a valve lift controller on the other end side. The control shaft is arranged perpendicularly to a spindle of a motor. Besides, the transmission device includes a drive cam internally. Thus, the actuator is reduced in size in a longitudinal direction of the control shaft regardless the length of the motor. When the motor rotates, the control shaft reciprocates in accordance with a cam profile of the drive cam. The intake valve lift can be precisely controlled by defining the cam profile, especially in a rotation range of the drive cam corresponding to the idling operation of the engine.

摘要: A drip absorption mat is provided, which is capable of preventing the color deterioration of foods such as meats on the side in contact with said mat when foods such as meat are mounted thereon. A drip absorption mat which is laid under drip-oozing foods is composed of an absorption sheet to absorb drips and a porous surface sheet which is arranged over this absorption sheet and in contact with food, so that color deterioration of meats on the side in contact with the drip absorption mat is prevented by improving the breathability of the drip-absorption mat.

摘要: An RW offset setting method which includes recording a test pattern by a write head, reading the test pattern by a read head, measuring an amplitude of a read back signal at each tracking position, finding an approximate expression of a profile of the measured amplitude, finding a tracking position, and finding a RW offset based on this tracking position, setting a RW offset for all tracks in the disk device based on the RW offsets about the plurality of tracks to be measured. A read data error recovery method that includes the steps of determining an off-track direction where the amplitude increases, searching an off-track position where the amplitude becomes a local maximum, measuring the amplitude at each off-track position reading data recorded in the data sector.

摘要: In a fibrous web, press-welded line portions are formed, and press-welded dot portions are formed in portions other than the press-welded line portions. The formation of the press-welded line portions makes it possible to raise the surface of the fibrous web, to increase the bulkiness of the nonwoven fabric and to make the nonwoven fabric soft. Further, figures are drawn by the press-welded line portions, whereby the nonwoven fabric comes to have an excellent appearance in comparison to a conventional nonwoven fabric.
