Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provides fiberizable glass compositions formed from batch compositions comprising significant amounts of one or more glassy minerals, including perlite and/or pumice.
Abstract:
Technologies for assisting vehicles with changing road conditions includes vehicle assistance data based on crowd-sourced road data received from a plurality of vehicles and/or infrastructure sensors. The crowd-sourced road data may be associated with a particular section of roadway and may be used to various characteristics of the roadway such as grade, surface, hazardous conditions, and so forth. The vehicle assistance data may be provided to an in-vehicle computing device to assist or facilitate traversal of the roadway.
Abstract:
Anti-counterfeit method for a self-serving retail website is by using software to check each new submission of seller's advertisement against a list of blocked brands and a list of approved sellers on the website, before it gets posted on the website.
Abstract:
A printer is described. The printer includes a processor. A memory is coupled to the processor. The memory contains instructions that when processed by the processor cause a method to be performed. The method includes presenting a list of printing substitutions on a display. The printing substitutions are each associated with a respective printer profile. The list of printing substitutions identify which ones of the printing substitutions are enabled and which ones of the printing substitutions are disabled. The list also identifies the printer profiles that the substitutions are associated with, wherein at least one printer profile that is not enabled for a current print job is included in the list.
Abstract:
Compounds having the structure of Formula I, including pharmaceutically acceptable salts of the compounds, are CETP inhibitors and are useful for raising HDL-cholesterol, reducing LDL-cholesterol, and for treating or preventing atherosclerosis. In the compound of Formula I, A3 is a substituted phenyl group or indanyl group. Formula (I).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to fabrics, composites, prepregs, laminates, and other products incorporating glass fibers formed from glass compositions. The glass fibers, in some embodiments, are incorporated into composites that can be adapted for use in high energy impact applications such as ballistic or blast resistance applications. Glass fibers formed from some embodiments of the glass compositions can have certain desirable properties that can include, for example, desirable electrical properties (e.g. low Dk) or desirable mechanical properties (e.g., specific strength).
Abstract:
Systems and methods may provide for generating a schedule for a plurality of tasks based on one or more of contextual information, constraint information or preference information related to the plurality of tasks, wherein the schedule includes a plurality of individual-specific task lists. Additionally, a real-time change in one or more of the contextual information, the constraint information, current status or the preference information may be detected and the schedule may be automatically revised in response to the real-time change. In one example, at least a portion of the revised schedule is communicated to one or more individuals responsible for completing at least one of the plurality of tasks.
Abstract:
Various embodiments described and illustrated herein provide one or more of systems, methods, software, and firmware to handle attack generated demand proactively using distributed virtualization. One goal of some such embodiments is to provide a time window of stable operational response within which an intrusion detection system may detect an attack and/or cause a countermeasure against the attacks to be activated. Demand excursions which are not caused by an attack are supported during the variability of demand providing transparent response to legitimate users of the system. These embodiments, and others, are described in greater detail below.
Abstract:
The present disclosure is directed to contextual content translation system. A system may comprise a device to present content to a user, the content being obtained from a content provider (CS). Prior to presentation, a contextual translation (CT) module may augment the content based on the context of the user. The CT module may receive the content from the CS, may receive information about the context of the user from a user data (UD) module and may augment the content based on the user context. Additional information may be provided by a relationship builder (RB) module, as needed, to help determine the correspondence between the content and the user context. Augmenting the content may comprise altering the content (e.g., changing or removing portions of the content) or adding information to the content, the information relating to how portions of the content may correspond to the context of the user.
Abstract:
In some embodiments, the invention involves collecting service health information from a plurality of cloud service provider associated with a customer. Once the service health information is collected, aggregating information from multiple providers, when necessary, and providing a service health report to the customer. The customer has agreements with both the service providers and information collector to receive a level of service health information regarding services provided. The information collector may have agreements with the service providers to retrieve or receive the requested service health information for the customers via a pre-agreed upon protocol. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
