    摘要: In a transflective liquid crystal display having a transmission area and the reflection area, the transmissive electrode is connected to a switching element to control the liquid crystal layer in the transmission area, and the reflective electrode is connected to the switching element via a separate capacitor to control the liquid crystal layer in the reflection area. The separate capacitor is used to shift the reflectance in the reflection area toward a higher voltage end in order to avoid the reflectance inversion problem. In addition, an adjustment capacitor is connected between the reflective electrode and a different common line. The adjustment capacitor is used to reduce or eliminate the discrepancy between the gamma curve associated with the transmittance and the gamma curve associated with the reflectance.

    摘要: A viewing-angle adjustable liquid crystal display includes a display panel and a data driver. The display panel includes several pixel units. Each pixel unit has a first sub-pixel and a second sub-pixel. The data driver provides a first driving voltage and a second driving voltage, respectively, to the first sub-pixel and the second sub-pixel. When the liquid crystal display is operated in the wide viewing-angle mode, the first and the second driving voltage of each pixel unit are substantially equal to a pixel voltage, while when the liquid crystal display is operated in the narrow viewing-angle mode, the first driving voltages corresponding to one portion of the pixel units and the second driving voltages corresponding to the other portion of the pixel units are substantially equal to a gray-level voltage.

    摘要: An over-current protection device for multiple high-voltage motive devices is provided. The over-current protection device includes a comparison module and a logic operation module. The comparison module receives a plurality of voltages generated from a plurality of operating currents of a plurality of high-voltage motive devices and respectively compares the voltages with at least one reference voltage to generate a plurality of comparison results, wherein the high-voltage motive devices are solenoids, electronic clutches, or a combination of solenoids and electronic clutches. The logic operation module receives the comparison results and generates at least one control signal for a plurality of high-voltage motive device driving circuits according to the comparison results. The high-voltage motive device driving circuits respectively drive the high-voltage motive devices according to the control signal.

    摘要: A fabrication method of a rigid-flex circuit board is described as follows. Firstly, a flexible circuit board and at least a cover layer are provided. The cover layer covers a surface of the flexible circuit board. A protection layer is then formed on the cover layer. Next, a substrate is laminated to the surface of the flexible circuit board. The substrate has a conductive layer and a prepreg disposed between the conductive layer and the cover layer. The prepreg has an opening for accommodating the protection layer. Thereafter, the conductive layer is patterned for forming a patterned conductive layer. Afterwards, the protection layer is removed.
