    Abstract: The present disclosure describes self-biasing radio frequency circuitry. In some aspects a radio frequency (RF) signal is amplified via a circuit having a first transistor configured to source current to an output of the circuit and a second transistor configured to sink current from the output of the circuit, and another signal is provided, without active circuitry, from the output of the circuit to a gate of the first transistor effective to bias a voltage at the output of the circuit. By so doing, the output of the circuit can be biased without active circuitry which can reduce design complexity of and substrate area consumed by the circuit.

    Abstract: An apparatus for detecting a switching current of the power converter, wherein the apparatus includes a signal generation circuit, a sample-and-hold circuit, and a calculating circuit. The signal generation circuit generates a sample signal in accordance with the pulse width of a switching signal. The sample-and-hold circuit is coupled to receive the sample signal and switching current signal for generating a first current signal and a second current signal. The calculating circuit is coupled to receive the first current signal and the second current signal for generating output signals. The switching signal is used for switching the magnetic device of the power converter, and the switching current signal is correlated to the switching current of the power converter; the output signals are correlated to the value of the switching current of the power converter.

    Abstract: Described herein are nucleic acid modules for cloning, expression and tagging of eukaryotic membrane proteins. The nucleic acid modules include a receptor for advanced glycation end products (RAGE) signal sequence, a nucleic acid sequence encoding a tag and a multiple cloning sequence (MCS). Any membrane protein of interest can be cloned into the MCS for expression in cells. The nucleic acid modules can encode any type of tag, such as an epitope tag or affinity tag. The nucleic acid modules disclosed herein can be used to express any type of membrane protein and are particularly suited to the expression and tagging of Type I and Type III membrane proteins.

    Abstract: A portable astronomical telescope includes the cylinder body, on which three telescopic legs are hinged through a joint to form a tripod stand. The bottom of aforementioned cylinder body is fixed by means of connection element and mounted with part box. On the bottom end of this part box, a bottom cover is insert-mounted. On the upper end of the part box, limit connection elements of the connected telescopic leg are hinged. Within the aforementioned cylinder body, a guide bush is fixed and installed, inside of which machine base is mounted. On the side of this machine base; a guide pin is established. On the side of the guide sleeve, an L-shaped feed-through slot is established to accommodate the guide sleeve. On the tail end of the above feed-through slot, one guide pin residence slot is connected. The aforementioned machine base is activated by the lug and mounted with bellows. This product can be used without need for separate assembly, and eliminates the need for a separate package. With small volume and light-weight features, it can hide the bellows within the cylinder body, in order to provide protection, which facilitates the product carrying and movement, particularly suitable for astronomy enthusiasts at the time of outdoor observation activities.

    Abstract: This invention relates to a method for maximizing the stone chipping resistance and scratch resistance of a multi-layer finish on an automotive substrate. A colored basecoat is applied to the substrate and directly on top of the basecoat is applied a protective clearcoat having a fracture resistance about equal to or above 26 mN and a plastic deformation resistance about equal to or above 30 mN/μm. The resultant coating in addition to being durable to the elements and having excellent appearance produces a finish with an outstanding balance of scratch and stone chip resistance after application.
