    摘要: A rotor (10) for a synchronous motor includes a plurality of permanent magnets (14) arranged at generally equal intervals around a shaft (12), and a plurality of core members (16) arranged around the shaft (12) while holding each permanent magnet (14) therebetween in a circumferential direction, so as to constitute magnetic poles. Each core member (16) has a symmetrical plane (S) involving a center axis (0) of the shaft (12), and is provided with a rod insertion hole (20) axially passing through the core member so as to involve the symmetrical plane (S) at the generally center of the core member. A rod member (22) is inserted into each rod insertion hole (20). Each core member (16) is further provided with a first through hole (24) formed at a portion defined from the neighborhood of a radial inner surface (16a) to the neighborhood of the rod insertion hole (20); the first through hole axially passing through the core member so as to involve the symmetrical plane (S), and a second through hole (28) formed at a portion defined from the neighborhood of the rod insertion hole (20) to the neighborhood of the radial outer surface (16b); the second through hole axially passing through the core member so as to involve the symmetrical plane (S). The first through hole (24) and the second through hole (28) can maintain the distribution of the main magnetic flux passing through the core member (16) in generally symmetrical state relative to the symmetrical plane (S).

    摘要: To reduce torque ripples appearing in an output torque of an electric synchronous motor, the rotor (10) is divided into 2.sup.n rotor elements (101, 102, 103, and 104) the rotor elements of each of 2.sup.n-1 pairs of rotor elements (101, 102; 103, 104) being circumferentially shifted from one another around an axis of the rotor by an angle corresponding to a half of the wavelength (.lambda.) of a first (A) of "n" kinds of cyclic torque ripples (A and B) to cancel the first kind of torque ripple, and the 2.sup.n-1 pairs of rotor elements (101, 102; 103, 104) being arranged to be grouped in 2.sup.n.sup.-2 sections of rotor elements, each section including two pairs of rotor elements, and the 2.sup.n-2 sections of rotor elements being circumferentially shifted from one another around the axis of the rotor by an angle corresponding to a half of a wavelength (.lambda.) to cancel a second of the "n" kinds of torque ripple, and eventually, the rotor structure being structured so that the rotor elements are further circumferentially shifted from one another to cancel the "n"th torque ripple component.

    摘要: A multi-channel magnetoresistance effect type magnetic head has a short wavelength region magnetic head element and a relatively longer wavelength region magnetic head element. The two head elements are provided on a magnetic substrate with each having a magnetic circuit containing a magnetic gap facing a surface adjacent to and across from a magnetic recording medium. Each magnetic circuit has a discontinuity portion with a bridging magnetoresistance effect sensing element to magnetically connect the discontinuity portion. The longer wavelength magnetic head discontinuity portion is spaced at a greater distance from the adjacent surface than is the discontinuity portion of the shorter wavelength magnetic head element.

    摘要: A two-cycle engine includes a pair of first and second valves movable into and out of respective closed positions where the first and second valves close part of an exhaust port to vary an exhaust timing thereof. Power transmission means includes a pair of first and second shafts angularly movable about their respective axes disposed parallel to an axis of a cylinder and each having a pinion portion. A rack rod is movable along an axis thereof perpendicular to the axis of the cylinder, the rack rod having first and second rack portions meshingly engaging the pinion portions of the first and second shafts, respectively, in such a manner that the angular movement of the first shaft causes the angular movement of the second shaft through the rack rod. A pair of first and second levers of a generally L-shape defined by a pair of perpendicularly-disposed first and second arms has a corner portion where the first and second arms merge. Each lever is angularly movable about an axis passing through the corner portion and disposed parallel to the shafts. The first and second arms of each lever is engaged respectively with a respective one of the first and second valves and a respective one of the first and second shafts in such a manner that the angular movements of the first and second shafts cause the angular movements of the first and second levers, respectively, to move the first and second valves into and out of their closed positions.
