    摘要: A silicon carbide sintered body suitable for electrical discharge machining and a method for its manufacture are disclosed. The silicon carbide sintered body comprises 0.5-5% by weight of AlN, 0.5-3% by weight (as Ti) of a Ti compound, 0.5-8% by weight of C, 0-3% by weight (as B) of B or a B compound, and a remainder of substantially SiC. It has a volume resistivity at room temperature of not greater than 10 ohm-cm and a density of at least 90% of the theoretical density of SiC. The manufacturing method comprises shaping a mixture of the raw materials and sintering the shaped green body in a non-oxidizing atmosphere at a temperature of 2000.degree.-2300.degree. C.

This thermoplastic polymer composition has excellent mechanical and other properties. The compatibility of each component in the thermoplastic composition is remarkably improved.

    摘要: A thermosetting unsaturated polyester resin composition comprising (a) an unsaturated polyester, (b) a modified block copolymer comprising a block copolymer of vinyl aromatic compound and conjugated diene compound onto which an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid and/or an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid derivative is grafted, (c) a vinyl monomer, (d) a curing agent and, if necessary, (e) other additives, the amounts of said (a), (b) and (c) constituents being 10 to 90 parts by weight, 2 to 70 parts by weight, and 10 to 80 parts by weight, respectively, the total amount of (a), (b) and (c) being 100 parts by weight, and the proportion of (d) being 0.1 to 10 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the total amount of (a), (b) and (c). The above composition is excellent in impact resistance, surface characteristics and rigidity.

    摘要: A tension control device, particularly for an apparatus recording and/or reproducing video signals on a tape which is wound on and extends between supply and take-up reels, includes a pivoted tension control arm urged by a tensioning spring against a run of the tape between the reels for detecting the tape tension and correspondingly controlling a brake resisting rotation of the supply reel so as to maintain the tape tension at a level determined by the spring force, and the spring force is made adjustable for varying the tape tension which is to be maintained by connecting the tensioning spring to a movable anchor member which is substantially counter-balanced, for example, by another spring acting on the anchor member in opposition to the tensioning spring. Movements of the anchor member for adjusting the force of the tensioning spring are effected by a manually actuable control element preferably having an irreversible coupling to the anchor member which provides a substantial mechanical advantage, for example, in the form of a cam member turnable with the control element and engaged by a cam follower on the movable anchor member.
