摘要: A speaker system for use in an automobile vehicle, comprises: pair of side speakers disposed on left and right sides in a front section within the automobile vehicle; a central speaker disposed in a middle position between the two side speakers; a pair of delay circuits connected on two signal lines leading to the side speakers disposed on the left and right sides within the vehicle; an adder connected between the left and right channels to add together the electric signals transmitted from the left and right channels so as to produce a sum signal; and a band pass filter connected on a signal line leading to the central speaker, said band pass filter being constructed and adjusted to eliminate a high frequency signal component. The sum signal fed from the adder is passed through the band pass filter before being applied to the central speaker.

摘要: An image forming apparatus of the present invention includes a conveyer belt for conveying an image receiving medium toward an image carrier, an image transferring member for electrostatically transferring a developed image formed on the image carrier onto the image receiving medium conveyed by the conveyer belt by applying an electric charge through the back of the conveyer belt, and an adsorbing roller provided on the surface of the conveyer belt facing it for electrostatically adsorbing the image receiving medium to the conveyer belt. The electric resistance of the conveyer belt from a first position where the conveyer belt and the adsorbing roller are facing each other to a second position where the conveyer belt and the image carrier are facing each other is larger than the electric resistance between the image carrier and the image transferring member.

摘要: A method and apparatus is disclosed for detecting a pattern image of each of a plurality of patterns on the surface of an object. Light emitted from either a light source including a wide wavelength or a light source including a plurality of monowavelengths is applied to the object. The object includes a layered structure having a plurality of layers, wherein at least a part of an uppermost layer of the object is optically transparent. Spectral illumination intensity characteristics of the light emitted from the light source is varied, depending on information about both the layered structure of the object, and a material of the object to obtain a desired spectral illumination intensity, and a pattern image of each of patterns is detected as either a one-dimensional or a two-dimensional image based on light reflected from the object.

摘要: In a computer system utilizing an array disk for an external storage device, an array controller arranged between a host computer and disk unit group has a main controller for controlling the array disk; a buffer for temporarily buffering data transferred between the host computer and the disk units; a parity data generator for generating parity data; and an interface controller for controlling interfaces connecting the host computer with the disk units. The buffer has memories for storing transfer requested data and parity data as previous data and previous parity data, respectively. The array controller also has memory management information for managing the memories.

摘要: The write data is entered from the upper unit into a nonvolatile cache provided in a controller inside of each disk unit through a channel adaptor, a cache shared by each disk, and a disk adaptor. The data from the cache is compressed by the data compressing and restoring device and is written in the disk. At a time, the management information for compressed data is written in the cache and the disk as well. In case of breaking the management information of the cache when a failure takes place in the cache memory, the management information is written for each disk. Hence, the breakage does not have an adverse effect on the other disks. If the management information of the cache is broken, the management information given into the disk may be replaced with the broken information.

摘要: A date communication apparatus in which a message stored in advance is transmitted to a receiving station so as to notify the receiving station that a call-waiting signal has been received, if a call-waiting signal is received by a transmitting station during communication. The reception of a request for line connection from a third station is detected by the call-waiting-signal detecting unit of a transmitting station on the basis of the call-waiting signal transmitted by an exchange. If the call-waiting signal is detected, a preset message is read from a message storage unit, and is transmitted to the other station. This message is transmitted either upon completion of the transmission of all the predetermined data or upon completion of the transmission of data, for instance, in units of pages. By means of this message, it is possible for the operator of the receiving station to identify that the cause of the disconnection of the line and the disturbance of the data is due to the reception of the call-waiting signal.
