摘要: A hydrophilic polymer is denatured with a gaseous denaturant or a powdery denaturant substance made from a liquid denaturant substance. The liquid denaturant substance is made into powders by, for example, a method of mixing the liquid denaturant substance with a water-insoluble compound, a method of cooling the liquid denaturant substance to or below its melting point to turn the same into a solid state. Consequently, the hydrophilic polymer can be denatured uniformly. In case that the hydrophilic polymer is denatured with a gaseous denaturant, the hydrophilic polymer and denaturant react with each other efficiently in a safe manner regardless of the size or shape of the hydrophilic polymer. In case that the hydrophilic polymer is denatured with the powdery denaturant substance, not only the liquid denaturant substance which is substantially in the solid state can be mixed with the hydrophilic polymer, but also the denaturation timing can be readily controlled.

摘要: An electrochromic layer consisting of an electrochromic material film and an electrolyte is provided between transparent electrode films of two glass substrates. An ultraviolet radiation stabilizing agent is not added to the electrolyte. A photocatalytic layer and a porous inorganic hydrophilic layer are formed on the front surface side of the front side glass substrate to make the surface of the device hydrophilic. The photocatalytic layer is excited by irradiation of ultraviolet radiation and decomposes dirt deposited on the surface of the porous inorganic hydrophilic layer, thereby maintaining the hydrophilic property. Since the photocatalytic layer absorbs ultraviolet radiation, occurrence of a photochromism in the electrochromic material film can be prevented.

摘要: A particulate water absorbing agent includes a polyacrylic acid and/or a salt thereof water absorbent resin as a main component, wherein the water absorbent resin includes α-hydroxycarboxylic acid and/or a salt thereof, and the absorbing agent satisfies a specific particle size distribution and a specific water absorbing performance, thereby solving the conventional problems. Further, a production method of the water absorbing agent is characterized in that α-hydroxycarboxylic acid and/or a salt thereof is added to (a) a monomer aqueous solution whose main component is acrylic acid and/or a salt thereof and which is being cross-linked and polymerized or (b) a hydrogel polymer after the polymerization. As a result, in the particulate water absorbing agent containing the water absorbent resin as a main component, it is possible to realize both excellent water absorbing performance and excellent coloring prevention effect. Further, it is possible to provide an absorbing article particulate water absorbing agent which is suitable for practical use.

摘要: The present invention is intended to provide an image pickup device-equipped rear view mirror with improved image pickup performance, glare prevention and appearance (design) in addition to improved performance as a vehicle mirror. A mirror element is formed by forming a reflecting film consisting of high refractive index material films and a low refractive index material film on a back surface of a transparent glass substrate. The integrating sphere reflectance of the mirror element in the visible range is 40% to 60% and the near-infrared transmittance is no less than 70% for the whole or part of the band belonging to the near-infrared range within the entire sensitive wavelength range of the near-infrared camera. A black mask member is attached to an entire back surface of the reflecting film. The near-infrared camera is arranged behind the black mask member. The region corresponding to the area for the image-pickup by the near-infrared camera within the entire region of the black mask member is formed of a visible-light absorption and near-infrared transmission filter. The near-infrared transmittance of the visible-light absorption and near-infrared transmission filter is no less than 70% for the whole or part of the band belonging to the near-infrared range within the entire sensitive wavelength range of the near-infrared camera.

摘要: The present invention provides a vehicle mirror and a manufacturing method therefor which allow the rear face side of a mirror element to be dark-colored without using a color plate or color coating. A mirror element is configured by forming a semitransparent reflective film made of a dielectric multilayer film on the front face of a flat transparent substrate. A dark-colored self-adhesive film is attached to the rear face of the mirror element. The dark-colored self-adhesive film is configured by forming an adhesive layer on the rear face of a dark-colored film layer by means of application. Grid-like air release channels are formed at fine pitches with minimal depth on an entire surface of the adhesive layer. After the dark-colored self-adhesive film is attached to the rear face of the mirror element, the grid-like air release channels visible from a front side of the mirror element are eliminated by heating and/or pressurizing.
