    Abstract: A method and apparatus perform Uplink (UL) beam tracking in a beamforming-based wireless communication system. A Mobile Station (MS) repeatedly transmits code sequences mapped respectively to MS transmit beams through each MS transmit beam as many times as the number of Base Station (BS) receive beams while sweeping the MS transmit beams. The MS receives, from a BS, transmit beam information indicating at least one best transmit beam selected from the MS transmit beams by the BS, and allocation information used to allocate UL resources for UL feedback. The MS transmits best beam information indicating the at least one best transmit beam and a MS identifier to the BS using the UL resources.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates beyond 4th-generation (4G) communication system such as a long term evolution (LTE). A method for performing a beamforming operation in a wireless communication system supporting a full-duplex scheme includes acquiring reference information for allocating a resource, determining a user equipment (UE) combination of a transmission (Tx) UE and a reception (Rx) UE which is capable of sharing a resource from combinations of at least Tx UE and at least one Rx UE, based on the acquired reference information, and allocating a Tx antenna beam for the Tx UE of the UE combination and an Rx antenna beam for the Rx UE of the UE combination.

    Abstract: Disclosed are: a communication technique for fusing, with IoT technology, a 5G communication system for supporting a data transmission rate higher than that of a 4G communication system; and a system therefor. The communication technique can be applied, on the basis of 5G communication technology and IoT-related technology, to intelligent services (for example, smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car or connected car, health care, digital education, retail, security and safety-related services, and the like). A method for estimating a channel in a communication system, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: confirming a code and antenna distinguishing scheme used in channel estimation; generating a channel estimation code on the basis of the confirmed code and antenna distinguishing scheme; and transmitting the generated channel estimation code through a plurality of transmission antennas.
