摘要: A temperature sensor is provided comprising a conductor having a low-melting-point, a fibrous insulating layer adjacent the low-melting-point conductor and separating it from a second conductor. An oscillator applying a pulse signal to the sensor and a receiver receiving the pulse signal through the sensor can detect changes in the signal wave form due to melting or distortion of the low-melting-point conductor. The specific temperature to be sensed can be preset by providing preheating of the sensor, as by Joule heating, by passing a current through the low-melting-point conductor.

摘要: To provide a training apparatus for effective and safe performance of KAATSU training.A training apparatus is made up of a tight fitting band 100, a main device 200, a measuring segment 300, and a control segment 400. The tight fitting band 100 is wrapped around a predetermined region of a limb. The tight fitting band 100 has an air-tight inflatable bag. The compression force applied to the limb can be varied by supplying the air to and removing the air from the inflatable bag. The main device 200 controls the supply and removal of the air into and from the inflatable bag. The measuring segment 300 is attached to the limb around which the tight fitting band 100 is wrapped to measure the magnitude of a pulse wave. The control segment 400 determines, in preprocessing performed before the KAATSU training, the pulse wave component at a time point at which the magnitude of the pulse wave reaches the maximum, and chooses, as an appropriate gas pressure, the pressure within the inflatable bag that is produced at a time point at which such a pulse wave is generated that is obtained by means of multiplying the pulse wave component at a time point at which the magnitude of the pulse wave reaches the maximum with a numeral equal to or larger than 0.2 but smaller than 1.

摘要: To provide a pressure muscle strength increasing apparatus that allows accurate adjustment of the degree of blood flow restriction when a pressure muscle strength increasing method is carried out.The pressure muscle strength increasing apparatus is comprised of a tight fitting device 100, a pressure setting segment 200, quantification segments 300, and a control segment 400. The tight fitting device 100 is wrapped around a predetermined range on a limb. The tight fitting device 100 has an air-tight gas bag. The compression force applied to the limb can be varied by supplying the air to and removing the air from the gas bag. The pressure setting segment 200 controls the supply and removal of the air into and from the gas bag. The quantification segment 300 is intended to be rest on the limb which the tight fitting device 100 is wrapped around on the distal side thereof to quantify a quantification target that varies depending on the increase and decrease of the compression force. The control segment 400 controls the pressure setting segment 200 based on the quantification target. As described above, the pressure muscle strength increasing apparatus automatically controls the compression force based on the quantification target.

摘要: To ensure easy and secure placement of a belt for KAATSU muscle training on a target compressed site near the proximal portion of a limb.A belt 100B has a longer first band-shaped member 110 and a shorter second band-shaped member 120 both of which have a band shape and are connected to a ring-shaped joint member 130 at their respective ends. In order to place the belt 100B on the target compressed site, the limb (right leg in this case) on which the belt 100B is expected to be placed is inserted into a loop of the first band-shaped member 110 formed by passing the end of the first band-shaped member 110 through an opening in the joint member 130, and the belt is moved up to the target compressed site. Then, the first band-shaped member 110 and the second band-shaped member 120 are pulled with both hands in the opposite directions. The belt 100B is placed on the target compressed site with the belt 100B being tensioned appropriately.

摘要: To provide a therapeutic system which is based on the KAATSU training and which is suitable for treating metabolic syndrome.A therapeutic system is comprised of a tight fitting device 100, a body segment 200, a measuring segment 300, and a control segment 400. The tight fitting device 100 is wrapped around a predetermined range on the limb. The tight fitting device 100 has an air-tight gas bag and can change a compression pressure to be applied to the limb by means of introducing and removing air into and from the gas bag. The body segment 200 controls the flow of the air into and from the gas bag. The measuring segment 300 is attached to the limb around which the tight fitting device 100 is wrapped and measures the amplitude of pulse wave. The control segment 400 determines an air pressure within the gas bag at the time point at which the amplitude of the pulse wave reaches its maximum, during preprocessing that is performed prior to the treatment, and uses it as the pressure within the gas bag for the treatment.

摘要: A microcomputer capable of reducing a board area, enhancing the security, and improving the usability is provided. A microcomputer to be used in a notebook PC is disclosed, in which programs of a keyboard/power management BIOS and a system BIOS are stored in a built-in flash memory ROM. In order to set read (R)/write (W) protect to the BIOSes stored in the flash memory ROM, a read/write protect setting register is provided, and at initial setting after the release of reset, flags of R/W permission, R permission/W prohibition, W permission/R prohibition, and R/W prohibition are set to this register by a central processing unit CPU. By doing so, it becomes possible to achieve protection such as the prevention of error writing of the BIOS and the like between a host machine and the flash memory ROM via a LPC bus.

摘要: An ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus includes an ECG memory storing ECG signals based on motion of a heart of a living body, an ECG A/D converter, and an elasticity image generating section. Upon receiving timing signals from a CPU synchronized with two points a and b in one cycle of the ECG signal, the elasticity image generating section obtains from a cinememory two frames of sound ray data of a body part to be examined. The two frames of the sound ray data correspond to the two points a and b respectively. A strain St is calculated from the obtained sound ray data. An elasticity image quantitatively indicating stiffness of the body part is generated on the basis of the calculated strain St.
