摘要: At least one magnetic pole out of a pair of magnetic poles is provided with a T-shaped magnetic pole having a magnetic pole chip at the position contacting with a magnetic gap and an auxiliary magnetic pole which is wider than thereof. The proximity of an air bearing surface of the T-shaped magnetic pole is composed of a laminated film containing a magnetic material layer with a high saturated magnetic flux density which composes the magnetic pole chip and a portion of the auxiliary magnetic pole and a magnetic material layer with a low saturated magnetic flux density which composes the remaining portion of the auxiliary magnetic pole. When the front portion of the magnetic pole with the track width of 1.8 &mgr;m or less is composed of a laminated film containing a magnetic material layer having a high saturated magnetic flux density and a magnetic material layer having a low saturated magnetic flux density, the thickness of the magnetic material layer having the high saturated magnetic flux density is 0.5 &mgr;m or more. According to the above described magnetic pole, the magnetic saturation near the tip portion of the magnetic pole is controlled, so that preferable magnetic field strength and magnetic field gradient can be attained when the track width is narrowed.

摘要: A photosensitive material such as film is conveyed while the widthwise edges thereof are guided by width guides. The width guides have an adjusting part such as a screw to adjust the position thereof when the width of the photosensitive material changes. The adjusting part, even when the width dimension of the sensitized material does not change, is driven at a specified interval such as every few hours to remove a precipitate such as a developer which is deposited on the adjusting part.

摘要: A biochemical analysis apparatus comprises a sample accommodating region, a refrigerator for keeping cool a long test film containing a reagent which reacts with a liquid sample to give rise to a change in optical density, and a test film conveyor for sequentially pulling out the long test film from the refrigerator. A sample applicator takes up the liquid sample from the sample accommodating region and applies it to the long test film at the position to which the long test film has been pulled out of the refrigerator. An incubator maintains the sample-applied portion of the long test film at a predetermined temperature for a predetermined time. A detector irradiates light to the sample-applied portion of the long test film, and measures the optical density given rise to by the reaction during or after the passage of the predetermined time.

摘要: A simple inspection device is constituted for inspection of an analyzer for measuring ionic activity by using an ionic activity measuring device provided with at least one ion selective electrode pair for generating potential corresponding to ionic activity fo a predetermined ion, and a porous bridge for associating the electrodes of the ion selective electrode pair with each other, and by contacting potential difference measuring probes respectively with the electrodes of the ion selective electrode pair, thereby to measure a difference in potential between the electrodes. The simple inspection device comprises a supporting member having outer dimensions approximately equal to ther outer dimensions of the ionic activity measuring device, and an electrically conductive member supported on the supporting member for short-circuiting across the potential difference measuring probes when the potential difference measuring probes are contacted with the electrically conductive member.
