    摘要: Hydroxycarboxylic acids including glycolic acid are promising compounds for use as a raw material for polymers or an intermediate for medicines. However, the processes for the production of hydroxycarboxylic acids which are presently known have a problem that none of them can supply an inexpensive high-purity hydroxycarboxylic acid. An object of the invention is to produce a microorganism which highly yields in a short time a hydroxycarboxylic acid reduced in impurity content and to provide a process for producing a hydroxycarboxylic acid including glycolic acid using the microorganism. A microorganism is produced, which has the imparted or enhanced activity of an enzyme catalyzing a reaction from ethylene glycol to glycolaldehyde. Using this microorganism, a hydroxycarboxylic acid including glycolic acid which is reduced in impurity content is highly produced in a short time. The production process enables a hydroxycarboxylic acid having high purity to be supplied at low cost.

    摘要: In a motor grader, controls for running the vehicle at a constant speed are provided when a work for improving a land surface with a blade is started by running a working vehicle at a low speed from the low idling start. With this operation, it is possible to perform the work for improving a land surface by maintaining an actual revolution speed of the engine 5 at a value obtained by subtracting a prespecified revolution speed from the revolution speed for low idling to run the working vehicle at a low speed. With this feature, it is possible to continue the work at a constant speed and also to prevent occurrence of engine stop during the work at a low speed, when a higher duty of the engine is required and the actual revolution speed drops like in the case where an ascending slope of the land to be improved becomes large or where the cutting rate temporally increases due to local irregularities of the land surface during the land surface improvement work.

    摘要: An EGR control system for a direct injection spark ignition engine operated at a plurality of the combustion modes comprising stratified-charge combustion and premix-charge combustion. The system includes a flow rate control valve equipped at the EGR passage to regulate flow rate of the exhaust gas to be recirculated which is operated when the one combustion mode is determined to be changed to another of a plurality of the combustion modes, thereby ensuring an EGR amount that is neither deficient nor excessive for the combustion mode, while preventing misfire from happening and preventing the degradation of drivability, fuel economy and emission performance from occurring. Alternatively, the system includes an actuator for regulating an opening of a throttle valve or a second EGR control valve installed in a branch passage and a passage switching valve for switching the EGR passage and the branch passage.
