Disclosed is a refrigerator oil composition containing a base oil (A) composed of a polyvinyl ether, an organic sulfur compound (B) having a sulfur content of not more than 35% by mass and a refrigerant (C), in which a total sulfur content is 0.01 to 0.1% by mass with respect to a total amount of the components (A) and (B). Such the novel refrigerator oil composition does not cause environmental problems such as ozone layer destruction and global warming, and can retain the lubrication properties for a long period of time, while preventing a capillary in a refrigeration cycle from clogging.

This invention relates to lubricating oil additives, and to lubricating oil compositions, their method of preparation, and use. More specifically, this invention relates to several novel lubricating oil additives and compositions which contain a tungsten compound and an antioxidant, namely aminic antioxidants such as a secondary diarylamine or an alkylated phenothiazine. The use of the tungsten compound with the secondary diarylamine and/or the alkylated phenothiazine provides improved oxidation and deposit control to lubricating oil compositions. The lubricating oil compositions of this invention are particularly useful as crankcase and transmission lubricants, gear oils and other high performance lubricant applications.

The present invention relates to polymer dispersions comprising A) at least one dispersed polyolefin, B) at least one dispersion component, C) mineral oil and D) at least one glyceryl ester derived from an unsaturated carboxylic acid having from 8 to 30 carbon atoms. The inventive polymer dispersions are notable for very good low-temperature performance. In addition, the polymer dispersions can be prepared in a particularly energy-saving manner. The present invention further relates to processes for the preparation of and to the use of these polymer dispersions.

A grease composition is prepared from an isomerized base oil having consecutive numbers of carbon atoms and less than 10 wt % naphthenic carbon by n-d-M; a kinematic viscosity at 100° C. of less than 10 mm2/s, and a cloud point—pour point spread of less than 25° C. The grease composition in one embodiment, exhibits improved service life, i.e., capable of performing for longer period of time of at least 50% at high temperatures/speeds and in an oxidizing environment as compared to greases containing Group II or POA base oils in the prior art.
