摘要: A system is provided for absorbing energy from impacts to a vehicle, the system comprising: a blow molded energy absorbing member. The member including first and second opposing walls, at least one rib or a pair of ribs disposed between said first and second opposing walls, the rib(s) comprising the first and second opposing walls dented toward other wall with top end part either welded or separated with specified interval. In one embodiment, the energy absorbing member is formed of thermoplastics composed of a polyolefin based resin and 50 to 75% weight of an amorphous resin.

摘要: In a plastic tube (1) for the production of gas filled bodies, with two superimposed sheets, connected in a gas tight manner to each other along a first longitudinal edge thereof, the upper sheet (2) and the lower sheet (3) are welded together in the transverse direction along gas tight welded seams (5a,5b), arranged in pairs at a separation from each other, in order to form inflatable pockets (7), which seams extend from the first longitudinal edge (4) to a point at a predetermined separation from the opposing second longitudinal edge (6). The pockets each present, between the upper sheet and the lower sheet, a gas filling opening (8) which is accessible from the second longitudinal edge. Also proposed are a method for the production of gas filled bodies using such plastic tubes and a device for carrying out said method.

摘要: Devices and methods for forming air pillows are described. In accordance with embodiments of the invention, an apparatus for manufacturing air-filled pillows from a tube material includes a plurality of support rollers, a drive means, an injector means, and a sealing means. The plurality of support rollers support a roll of a tube material along an outer circumferential extent of the roll, in which the tube material includes two opposing sheets joined along at least one longitudinal edge thereof. The drive means draws the tube material from the roll along the support rollers, the injector means injects air into an interior space between the two opposing sheets of the tube material drawn from the roll, and the sealing means seals the two opposing sheets together with the injected air entrapped in the interior space therebetween.

摘要: A machine for the manufacture of inflated plastic dunnage and other fluid filled units is disclosed. In a disclosed and pictured dunnage embodiment, the machine includes a hollow shaft rotatably mounted on a frame. In the preferred embodiment the shaft is solid. With either embodiment a drive is operably connected to the shaft for causing the shaft to rotate about its axis and a drum mounted on the shaft to rotate with the shaft. The drum is in the form of a pair of closely spaced discs having perimetral, cylindrically contoured sealing surfaces for support and, in cooperation with driven metal belts, transport of a web being formed into dunnage units. Sets of heating and cooling shoes having spaced arcuate surfaces are complementally positioned adjacent the drum surfaces with the cooling shoes downstream from the heating shoes in the direction of dunnage formation rotation. A nozzle is mounted generally tangentially of the drum at a location midway between the discs. Each of the cooling shoes includes an air expansion chamber communicating through a shoe inlet when in use with a supply of air under pressure. In the hollow shaft embodiment one cooling shoe chamber has an outlet in communication with the nozzle via the shaft.

摘要: A machine for the manufacture of inflated plastic dunnage and other fluid filled units is disclosed. 摘要: A system is disclosed for the absorption of an impact, that system comprises a blow molded thermoplastic energy absorbing member. The blow molded thermoplastic energy absorbing member provides opposing first and second walls defining a hollow space; according to one embodiment, a plurality of fused and unfused recessed ribs integrally molded between the first and second walls. The fused recessed ribs have a fused recessed rib end. The fused recessed rib ends are integrally fused to either opposite recessed rib ends or the facing opposite wall at a welded surface such that the height of the recessed ribs from the first wall to the welded surface is about approximately 15.0 to 45.0 mm. The recessed ribs are, according to one embodiment, connected by a plurality of straight interlocking ribs.

An air paddle (92) pushes on the outer side of the bags to cause air that has recently been injected to be urged forwardly, within the bag, and through the space between an anvil (23) and the sealing wires (22) into the bag that is formed moments later by heat sealing.

摘要: The present invention relates to a sealing device for using heat to form a weld between a first layer of plastic and a second layer of plastic, provided with heating means for heating the layers of plastic and conveyor means for conveying the layers of plastic past the heating means, and separation means for forming a separating layer between the heating means and the layers of plastic while the latter are being heated, the separation means being displaceable in the direction of movement of the layers of plastic past the heating means. The sealing device according to the invention is characterized in that preheating means are provided for the purpose of preheating the separation means before they are fed to the heating means.
